Short Horror Stories (Original Works, Mostly)

Heart

I'm in a pure white room, surrounded by blood. I can still look around and breathe, but the rest of my body is numb, but I don't know why. Suddenly, my body jerks up to stand and I involuntarily walk to a mirror.

Once I get there, I am horrified by the sight. Half of my face is black, my eye is red and gold. My mouth is lifelessly grey, with disgusting yellow teeth. On the mirror written in blood is, "You can't escape yourself".

Without knowing it, my hand lurches to my chest and pierces through my skin and ribs. The pain is incinerating, but I kind of like it. My hand reaches up to my mouth. When I look down, I am eating my own heart, and my blood pools on the white floor.
