CHAPTER 6 - COMFORT

Ava's POV

I was at my lowest, shivering and freaked out thinking there was nothing i could do know but thats when Kyle rescued me and took me outside on the bench... He waited patiently for me while i tried my best to stop crying but the flashbacks of Marlin and me were just popping in my head and not going away

Just then he held my hand in his and said in a smooth and low voice ," Ava it's alright now, I'm here" i couldn't take it any more and hugged him crying

"Kyle" i said crying

"Shhh I've got you" he gently patted my back

" Thank you b-but why'd you help me, y-you hate me " i asked him still hugging him

He didn't answer just paused for a while and then kept patting my back like before which felt rather calm.

Kyle's POV

She asked me why i helped her when i hated her so much

To be honest i dont know but i just felt like it and watching her in such a state - no i couldn't obviously leave her like that

I patted her back so i wouldn't have to answer but she went back, wiped her tears and asked me again sobbing

"Kyle tell me, why'd you help me ?"

I didn't know what to say , " I'd help anyone who would be in such a state " i smiled but lied

"Oh " there was a look of little disappointment on her face but i couldn't possibly tell her that i was getting feelings for her since i first saw her

Wait what !? Me and feelings bro i have made out with pretty and sexy girls and i never feel anything.... Fuck it I'm a Playboy i can't probably have something for her - nope not a chance - she was crying i helped her yup that's it

"Are you better now ?" I asked concerned

"Yea all better thanks " she gave a smile but i know she was hiding the pain within wiping here last tears left

"Would you like me to drop you home ?" Yup i couldn't ask her what happened seemed like she wasn't ready and obviously not she literally must have hate for me

"It's fine you don't have to, enjoy the party " she got up and started walking but i couldn't just let her walk in such a state so i grabbed her shoulder and stopped her

"Hey i insist, you can't just walk all the way to your house and anyways this party is boring" finally she agreed and i walked her to her house.

Ava's POV

I agreed, i waited for him while he went to get his car

I was enjoying the cologne of his leather jacket - it smelled so good i wish i could keep it - thats when i saw him in his car and holy shit his car was awesome...

He called out my name giving a sweet smile which brought back the crazy butterflies in my stomach noooooo he came out of his care and opened the door for me well he's a gentleman;) anyways the ride was silent i didn't say much but i could sense Kyle looking at me sometimes in between while i was just looking out the window in his jacket felt nice and safe

He dropped me off and went back as soon as I opened my door and went inside... I didn't have any energy so i grabbed a cold pizza from the fridge and went straight up throwing my heels away

I tied my hair and it struck me i never returned his jacket back to him - shit - well i just got lost in my thoughts of how he came running to me looking worried and carried me out and didn't ask me any questions

WAIT WHAT THE FUCK AVA COME TO YOUR SENSES YOU HATE HIM AND BE HATES YOU ... YOU CANT LIKE HIM

I hang the jacket so that I can return it back to him and change into some comfy loose clothes and eat my pizza watching some cartoons on my phone so lighten up the mood

Next day.

My annoying alarm rang and i kicked it :) that's me

I still had time until Paige came to pick me up - i looked at my phone and damn 50 missed calls and 30 texts from Paige - damn this girl is crazy - well we both have some explaining to do

I went to shower in warm water which is so refreshing damn and wore shorts and a loose tshirt with a big smile on it, grabbed my bag and went downstairs to find mom but all i saw was a sticky note on the fridge saying

*Morning sweety, i had to early but i left some cookies and milk for you ;) I'll be back tomorrow at 12pm <3*

I grabbed the cookies and damn they were delicious... Soon Paige knocked on the door and we went off to hell- school :)hehe

"So about yesterday -" i cut Paige off remembering Kyle's jacket so i quickly ran back inside grabbed a nice paper bag, kept his jacket and dropped a note saying - thanks for yesterday Kyle :)*

I ran back down locking my house and saw the confused look on her face so i explained everything to her while we walked to school

"WAIT MARLIN IS BACK !? BUT HOW'D HE KNOW YOU WERE HERE !" Yep she knows everything about my past cuz she's my friend i can't hide it from her and she really good at reading me sooo

"I don't know ... He said he'd make my life miserable... Oh no Paige what do I do !!!!! Should I shift towns again"

"Wha- ofcourse not he can't do anything to you now - you have me and also kyyyllleee " she said teasing me so i pushed her shoulder all shy and blushy

"Mhm look look how your blushing, someone has a big time crush on KYLE LORENCE!" she shouts his name so loud that already we had reached the school premises and on top of that Kyle was already there leaning on his bike with Katey leaning oh him

As soon as she screamed his name Kyle looked at us and i ran off in embarrassment and Paige chasing me while Chris was busy giggling beside Kyle ughh this girl

I opened my lockers and kept the everything inside. Took my books out for biology and went straight to class and Paige on the other hand had chemistry with Chris - you get it Paige had CHEMISTRY with Chris -ughh seriously I'm lame hehe

Bio was pretty much disgusting i mean who in the world would dissect a freaking frog ewwww

Luckily it ended and it was a break for me so i decided to go to the library but just then i saw Kyle , Katey and a few of his basketball friends going towards the vending machine which was right outside the cafeteria so i decided to return his jacket too :)
