The grand hall of Rajveer Palace was converted into a party zone that evening. A glorious and classy party, as a celebration for Rajveer becoming the owner of the hundredth property. From police commissioners to government ministers, every important and influential person of the society was his guest. The irony was, half of the people present there were either under suspect by law for some illegal acts or were already on the hit list of 'wanted' with whom the commissioner and his officers were animatedly talking.

'Law.' - Rajveer snorted who was standing in the hallway of seventh floor of the palace, his hands on the railing, as he observed his guests.

Dressed up in an admiral blue suit made of high-end fabric, the buttons and cufflinks as usual of matching diamonds, he made his way down. But instead of taking the elevator, he took the grand staircase, his fingers smoothly sliding down it's railing, while his admiral blue, velvet loafers softly clanked on the marble.

"Rajveerrrr!!! Congratulations my boy!"

It was the commissioner who received him at the last step of the staircase with an enthusiastic handshake and took him along himself. Every head turned to Rajveer. Girls', out of longing, and guys', out of jealousy for the attention he was getting.

A woman around her mid 40s, walked to him along with a girl who wore a sleeveless deep neckline shimmery maxi, her face stuffed with makeup and hair, with hairspray.

"Rajveer! Looking handsome as always!" - the woman tried to flatter him smilingly. "Meet my daughter Kavya."

Kavya outstretched her hand infront of him, but he didn't reciprocate the handshake. Infact, he merely nodded in acknowledgement. Because it was nothing new for him. Ladies trying to fix him up with their daughters in such parties and him calmly ignoring was a norm now.

"Enjoy the party." - he said to the woman, completely ignoring her daughter, before moving ahead with the commissioner to his other guests.

"I can't believe, a 27 years old with SUCH success, and a ridiculously filthy amount of money, but doesn't take interest in girls." - muttered a guy to the much older man standing to his right, both sipping on champagne while observing Rajveer.

The older man chuckled. "Well, that's Rajveer. He makes heads turn but no girl has ever succeeded in making his head turn." - he casually shrugged while taking another sip.

"Oh I'm not surprised. After all, he is so full of himself!" - the younger one commented, rolling his eyes.

"He is. But isn't he rightfully so ? I mean look at him. He has EVERYTHING and can achieve ANYTHING with a snap of his fingers. If you were in his place son, you would have been no different." - the older man said to his son who's face turned sour.

THAT was the problem of all the youngsters present there. They desperately wanted to BE Rajveer but knew they COULDN'T and that's what made them dislike the sinfully handsome and illegally rich guy. And the fact they couldn't escape such parties and had to bear his skyrocketing sucess because of their parents wanting to remain in Rajveer Shekhawat's good books, just added to the burn.

The father son finished the rest of their drink and placed it on a try of the passing by waiter.

"But mark my words, there will be a girl who will not only make his head turn but his head will be on her heels." - the older man said, chuckling.

The guy's eyebrows shot upto his hairline and he joined his father in the laughter.

"Oh she'll be one hell of a girl then!"

It was post midnight. All the houses in lane were dark, everyone sleeping naturally, sans one window of Purohit House. A girl of 27, her hair tied up in a loose bun, wearing her peach silky nightgown, was sat on the study table in her room. Different glitters and colours were scattered on the table as she worked on a costume design while sipping on her coffee occasionally. A knock on the door disrupted her musings she was having on the sleeve design.
