Those Who Watch the Gallows
Tragically they spoke
and found their face alight – a stage.Taken down to the pyre,
burn the witch in moral fire.Cleanse the earth of the devil's cur
and find new kindling at the ends of kinship.Need no silver, need not even gold,
Sell out thy neighbors for naught
but the entertainment that comes with
watching them hung from the gallows.
