Chapter 3: How Lexi sees Jack

An old lady was all I found, she looked basic not as I expected though....... She looked sad, worn up, and straight-up miserable. Suddenly her eyes caught bold contact with mine then, she told me in a shrieking voice, "Aren't you one of Logan's friends?" Although I wasn't one of Logan's friends I needed to act up for the old lady and I replied confidently "Yes I'm one of Logan's friends" She told me that Logan was at the local bar, surprisingly to me the local bar was far away so I had to pay a hefty taxi price, this doesn't relate to me or Lexi but It's all part of my romantic responsibilities. after I arrived at the local bar there was no one inside but a single man sitting and chugging on some beer I sure knew its Logan, since I know the look on a depressed man's face. I went closer carefully because I was afraid he was hostile, and I tapped on his shoulder saying "Hey man what's up have you been chugging here for a long time, aren't you?" the supposedly Logan looked at me with eyes that told me that he got no sleep lately he looked heavily intoxicated and I get disgusted by beer and wine, etc. so I got sure that he isn't hostile so I went on telling him "so what's the beef between you and Jessica?" he told me in a furious tone "where did you get that name!" I didn't get nervous and I told him it was a close friend he even got more furious and started shouting to me "whoever gave you that name don't talk tell me about Jessica, she's a page that I folded although I would have torn it" the deep thoughts started to roam my mind again what would have happened so terrible that Logan wanted to do such things to Jessica? so I asked him out of curiosity, "I am heavily concerned, what did Jessica do to you?" Logan, while intoxicated, burst into tears and he started weeping "She didn't do to me, she did to my sister". "What did she do to your sister?" I asked curiously he replied "This should be a secret but I will tell you what happened, I went to work and left Jessica back home she was with my sister and when I came back Jessica wasn't there all I found was my sister lying on the floor she appeared stunned and when I checked on her she was indeed stunned by a stun gun and I know that nobody in the area wields a stun gun but Jessica when I talked to my sister all she was able to tell me is, "Jessica is........." she wasn't even able to contain her sentence. I know where Jessica lives and I can go and take my revenge on her, but going to prison will not help me either" I felt pity for such an innocent man unlike the claims made by the group chat as Lexi supposed, I also felt that I knew why Jessica had to stun Logan's sister with a stun gun! Since Logan's sister and Jessica were at the same house it's only one possibility that Logan's sister witnessed something important about Jessica that she didn't want anyone to know having no choice but to stun Logan's sister with a stun gun since it was the only available weapon Logan also added "I went to the hospital to check on her but she wasn't able to talk she wasn't able to move because Jessica's stun gun is a high voltage type" I was furious and I felt that I want to end Jessica's life either I got the feeling that Jessica is cheating on Logan somehow but I needed to confirm my theory I also tried to benefit from logan's intoxication since his intoxicated I would be able to get confidential information easier, I got from him that his sister is being treated and the West part of the city apart that I never went there before I got encouraged tomorrow is a Friday! but I have to finish my morning duty first I went back home after a long conversation with Logan knowing that after waking up I have a long day of work, I need to stop wasting my money on taxis they take me home but I need to start saving I looked in my Piggy Bank and found that the $3000 my grandma gave me where the only thing left * yawns* but for now I need to go to sleep

THE NEXT DAY......

I went to the store that we worked in and waited till the manager is not around and whispered into Lexi's ear "I think I know the true story about Jessica and Logan" I saw the look on her face she looked totally confused but the manager suddenly came around so both of us ignored what I just said. three hours in the shift and finally the break came, while I was eating my sandwich Lexi came and sat beside me, I was embarrassed, not shy I was embarrassed because my clothes had some sandwich grease before she said anything, she took a couple of wipes and started wiping my shirt I looked at her with a shocked face when she finished, she asked me "what's with Logan and Jessica thus I can still believe that you went all the way to them for me...... thank you in the first place" that's the true time that I blushed but I needed to focus and told her explaining the truth "Jessica is lying to all of you guys, I went to Logan at the bar, and the explained that Jessica stunned his sister with a taser because she revealed something so important to Jessica that she didn't want anyone else to know, and I believe that Jessica is the one cheating on Logan and when his sister revealed it she stunned her and ran away with the guy she's cheating on Logan with" Lexi looked shocked just like me when I knew this in the first place, she told me that we needed to confront Jessica, this story about romantic responsibilities doesn't involve me by any means I'm just doing it for Lexi but I still don't get the dreamy feel I got when I first started to spend time with Lexi I'm starting to feel that she's available she's no longer exclusive she's cute and beautiful and everything but starting to feel her availability, that we're not spending romantic time we are just performing tasks but I can clearly see that she is hiding what happened on the day of the kiss. It looks like Lexi wants to go on a different route, she wants to confront Jessica while all I want is to stand by Logan's side. But before all of that, I think I need something in return the time to take part in someone else's romantic responsibilities from Lexi's side, now Lexi is going to do her romantic responsibilities towards me although we aren't in a dedicated relationship and we went on the first date on the beach I think we should do something like Hangouts I'm still prohibited though so I think we need to do something else, my deep thoughts started to bang the doors of my brain but before I started falling into them, the manager came up and shouted: "the two of you are still sitting beside each other, didn't I say it's prohibited!" I felt fear that struck right in my heart I was afraid that I would lose my first job, but surprisingly the manager didn't speak to me, his shouting was at Lexi he told her stuff about how she's an irresponsible trainer although I was the one who came and told her to come and sit beside me I've started to feel guilty so I defended her of the manager out of the blue suspended me from work I don't know how did he do it but he suspended me from work. We started walking back home devastated after what happened at the store and I feared that Lexi wouldn't talk to me again.
