Chiyoko's heart was pounding and it sank with disappointment. The bombardment of unpleasant emotions were too much.
This is just too cruel. She told herself.
She harbored feelings for Sendoh for so long. Chiyoko already knows that Sendoh's in a relationship prior to hearing what she just heard, but her mind was deluded for she told herself that she'd only accept it as a fact if Sendoh said it so himself.
I'd only accept it if the words escape directly from Sendoh-kun's lips. Her own words clawed at her mind sinisterly.
The universe has given her what she asked for, and Sendoh confirming his romantic involvement just felt like an immense blow.
Chiyoko's mind raced with questions, she started doubting herself, she blamed herself for letting the chances to confess to Sendoh slip away.
The thought of Sendoh being in a committed relationship made her realize that her feelings might never ever be reciprocated.
