i got sick recently
i felt like my throat was being ripped apart
and i couldn't speak
i couldn't sing
and to be a woman is to perform
i asked him,
"what am i, if i cannot sing?"
"nothing"
he replied

for an audience to judge and seek perfection and for other women to compare themselves
a vicious cycle
to see women perform and feel less woman than her because you cannot perform like she can
but she feels the same, as she cannot perform the way you can

a visual
nothing more than entertainment
