Chapter 29

Angelina felt undiluted happiness rampage through her body, and she giggled softly, feeling high-spirited with a skyrocketed, unfathomable joy. She fluttered her eyelashes, which slowly opened as the sunlight penetrated through the opened window. She smiled brightly, inhaling deeply as the heavenly scent of vanilla assaulted her two nostrils before trailing her hand to the other side of the bed. She found it empty, which made her release a disappointed gasp, but she didn't let it crush her happiness. She raised her legs and shook them before using the duvet to cover her face to calm her heart down.

She was feeling shy all of a sudden as yesterday's event came rushing to her like her favourite song.

He kissed me!

And I kissed him back—Ohhh my God! she exclaimed internally, using the duvet to cover her mouth to stop her from releasing any sound.

The gleamy zinc-silver full moon dominated the sky and brightened up the earth as the stars twinkled, making the sea magical, like an enchanting fairytale.

The shooting star, which rarely occurred, granted them its presence in fleeting moments. Some believe it was a sacred moment when wishes were given, and some believe it was a sign of positive energy flow in life. Still, the star bear witnessed the young couple who were moving to another dimension in their relationship.

"I li-ke you."

Angelina's eyes widened, covering her mouth in shock while pleading with her heart to calm down. She fiddled with her fingers in anxiety, embarrassed by her forwardness. She couldn't help herself to hold it in anymore, and she had liked him since the moment she heard his voice. She was a fool, it took her all her willpower to say the words, but she felt stupid because Nathaniel wasn't responding.

She turned her face to the front wanting to shed herself from more embarrassment; as she blinked to keep the tears at bay, she sniffled, rubbing her nose.

"I don't—" Nathaniel's cold lips cut off her shaky voice and trembling lips.

"I so much like you too."

Nathaniel was in a state of surprise when he heard Angel's confession. It meant so much to him that she could like him after everything he had done. He did a mental dance in his head as his heart drummed to the dance. He was in another dimension, another world of his mind but her small voice pulled him out, and he did what instinctively came to his mind and kissed her.

Angelina's eyes widened when she felt Nathaniel's lips on hers in a jiffy; she blinked once, twice to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

He said he liked me! A radiant smile made its way to her lips, making her eyes twinkle, and her cheeks puff out more.

Nathaniel smiled when he saw her happy face before he snaked his hand around her waist and then pulled her to him, making her sit on his lap; their chests touched, beating rhythmically, which made Angelina a head taller than Nathaniel.

Nathaniel looked her in the eyes, deep into her soul, piercing her searching for any doubts or reluctance. Still, when he couldn't find any, only eagerness and excitement could be seen; he pecked her lips again and again, which made her laugh at his playfulness before using the opportunity to plug his tongue in her mouth. He gripped her cheeks with his hands, yet not so hard as he explored her mouth, tasting her natural taste. He groaned slowly; he couldn't get enough of her and pulled her to him without leaving any space between him and her as he got lost in her mouth.
