Chapter 5 - Where It All Began Part 2

That night at our final celebration, just before our college graduation.

A random guy on stage says, "Now it is time to announce the king and the queen of tonight party...the queen of the 65th generation of MCI graduates is..."

"Why can it be the king's first why it has to be the queen?" says a random student

"The queen first, of course... you know what they said...'les femmes d'abord, meme dans la mort' so be gentle. "

Everyone was crackling.

So he continues, "The Queen of tonight's party is... Darcy."

Everyone was cheering up for me while going up the stage.

"Yes, you did it, I'm so proud of you," Yelled Emma

"Yes," added Ruby

"There is no way she's not even famous anymore," says Chloe

"Neither do you," responded Ruby

Regarding that most famous title, that was held by Dora at the time. She was the girl that everyone was making fun of because of her name, and Emma, I believe, had a crush on her. Sadly, though, she is now seeing Lucas, whom she also has a crush on, but she does not want anyone to know about it because she pretended to despise him for bullying Dora in the past, which was not the case at all. He was an asshole, that much is true, but he was merely attempting to protect Dora. As a result of her A+ score and B-average—both of which Ruby also had—Dora, a friend of ours, now gains popularity. They had the same grade. They were the first two to reach that level of grade and the most popular girls on campus, and I was proud.

Chloe went on, "Okay, okay, okay, hold this for me, I will be back." She handed Ruby her bag, who grabbed it and shook her head, saying, "That girl will never change."

He appeared to be in love with me again while putting the crown on my head, but he also seemed to be regretting his decision. As they were announcing the king, he abruptly took his phone out of his pocket and left.

Brayden is on the phone. "Yeah, I say everything."

"Wait... what? Who?" As I approached him from behind, I heard, and I called out to him, "Brayden."

"Darcy, what are you doing outside?"

"I got your crown...here, you are the king," I grinned.

"Really?" he asks with a smile. "Whoa... Congratulations, by the way!"

"Thanks, we are waiting for you inside to continue the party."

Then, I started walking inside without knowing what was going through my mind. I abruptly stopped and turned to face him again. "Ehem,"

"Yes."

"Are you okay?" pretending to check on him

"Yes, are you?" confirming with me again

"I am doing great...I actually have something to share with you." I answered that

After hanging up, he said, "Go ahead, I am listening."

"Okay, where should we begin?" I had so much to say that I was not sure where to begin.

"I do not know, the beginning or the end if want to," is his reply.

Our laughter spread to both of us.

"I don't want us to be friends anymore," I declared

"What?"

"I want us to be more than that," I stated

He was really perplexed, and I understand why. "But you sent a voicemail saying that we can't be together, ever again. That if we did what was going to happen, that people going to look at us differently, not that I care...so in a situation like this, it's really impossible of what you are asking me right now"
