Chapter 4- Where It All Began Part 1

Start from the beginning

"Why is trying to dump him interest you anyway?" asked Emma

"Shut up," responded Chloe

"I know if it was you that would be easy to dump him, they've literally been together for 3 years now, and it's not easy for her, you know," added Emma

"She's not you. Your relationship only due 3 days or what?" demanded Ruby

"Only 1, she's never loved someone for that long," continued Emma

"Shut the hell up both of you,"

They started to laugh at her.

"Don't worry I decided I will do it this week because, between Serge and I, I feel like it's not the same anymore, every moment with him is about soccer blah blah blah" I said

"That's what happened when you date a football star," stated Emma

"It's not necessarily that...I mean I just don't feel anything for him anymore."

"So then you should move on...and don't forget about our game this year."

"How could I forget about that? It is fun, and this year is all about games and having fun,"

"What game? And what are you guys talking about?" Ruby was confused

"It's a secret between the two of us, you don't have to know...now I'm out," said Chloe

When Chloe is a bit far from us, I said to her, " It's not a big deal. It's just a simple game she wants to play with me."

"Ruby, are you coming or not?" screamed Chloe

"I'm coming,"

And all that time started when Chloe asked me about that game thing. Emma was a bit far behind us chatting with someone on her phone.

Everything was going great until the new ones arrived. I must admit that I was drawn to this one as was everyone else in the hallway: he was gorgeously black, had perfectly straight hair that was neither too long nor too short, and had a perfect height. I felt that there was something different about him, and soon after that, my friend ran down the hallway to tell me that he was the rich boy who had recently moved to town with his billionaire family, the family Pierce. I had heard that his parents are so wealthy that they could purchase an entire town if they so desired.

It did not stay that way; after our paths crossed again in front of the library, we accidentally ran into each other. My books then fell to the ground, and the next thing I knew, he was assisting me in gathering them. And that is how it all started.

Brayden "I apologize; I was engrossed in my phone and failed to notice your arrival. It was not intended for me to be blind and miss the opportunity to see someone as wonderful as you."

"Are you truly blind, I wonder?" He looks at me strangely while smiling and then I realized he said that metaphorically "Oh okay I see, it's okay it's as much my fault as you I was so focus on my books so it's happened".

He handed me my glasses and my books, and he said, " Oh my gosh, I can't believe that happened to us." I was perplexed, but he went on, "This always happened in movies and then they fell in love right after." "It is happening to us right now, is not it?" he asked, further confusing me. I grinned as I realized what he was saying at that moment and said, "What? You're so funny. "

Then the person on the phone responded, "At first, they always thought it's funny, is that a coincidence?"

We both burst out laughing.

Brayden "Dad, that's it, you're done."

His dad keeps going. "Hey, Brayden, I am telling you guys the truth—your mother and I came dangerously close to it."

Silently, he uttered, "Not this again."

Then his dad didn't stop talking. He just stopped listening.

.....

"All right, all right, Dad got you, I have to go, we will talk later." After that, he hung up.

"Where we're we again," he said

"You were going to tell me your name," I responded

"Oh yes, I remember now,"

Then I smiled

"I am Brayden, I believe you to be Barbie," he continues.

"No, my name is Darcy, but nice to meet you, Brayden. Good one."

We had a great relationship up until we became involved in this game. At first, Chloe made me play with him even though I did not want to, and I agreed to save our friendship because she was obviously hurting—at least on the inside. That was the only thing keeping her smiling. Sadly, he discovered that he was being played. Keep in mind that the object of the game was to win someone over and then break their heart in the most violent way imaginable. That is not true, though, because I did not intend to break his heart in the most violent way imaginable. However, drunk Chloe told him everything, which is also where she lost all of my respect.

Everyone referred to me as the monster at that point, and Brayden even came up with the moniker "Queen of Hearts." He later joined the school's most popular journalism group, B and G, and I do not blame them—I was the bad guy in that tale. It was not just him who suffered. Serge learned about it as well and believed he was involved. He thought he was, but that was not even close to the truth.

I also hurt myself cause I liked him talking about Brayden. That night, I was about to tell Chloe that I'm done with that game, but it was too late.

Hey, guys, good news from now on I'm going to update daily except on the weekend cause that is when I'm the busiest so I can finish it more quickly.
