5 ° The Complaint

The next day morning Mr Kang was in the hospital waiting area to meet the police officer who was investigating the case. Mr Kang let out a heavy sigh due to the stress this unexpected event has caused, but he was happy to hear that the girl was out of danger when the hospital staff called him early in the morning.

As he was standing there near the reception table leaning on it. He turned towards the entrance to see a man enter the hospital. He wasn't looking like he had any problem nor did he look like he was visiting someone at the hospital.

He was as tall as Namjoon and had a well-built body. He wore blue faded jeans with a grey T-shirt. His sleeves pulled up to the mid of his forearms. He wore a pair of brown boots which were an add-on to the outfit.

He came straight to the receptionist, next to Mr Kang, and asked about the accident case from the night before. Mr Kang kept looking at him as he did not expect someone so young to be handling the case.

"Are you Mr Lee Junwoo ?" he asked after a few minutes. The man looked him up and down and nodded.

"I am Mr Kang Daesuk," he said extending his hand. Mr Lee thought for a minute and then realised it was he who had called him yesterday. Junwoo smiled a bit shaking his hand.

Daesuk then took him to the doctor who operated on the girl last night. Doctor(Mr Choi) and Junwoo both exchanged greetings and sat down to discuss a few things.

"Doctor I would like to talk to the patient, if possible," Junwoo asked.

" I am afraid that needs to wait as she is still unconscious." Mr Choi replied.

" When is she gonna wake up?" Daesuk questioned.

"Hopefully tomorrow. But it is difficult to say because we had to give her a bit more anaesthesia during surgery as her brain was not responding to the normal dose." Mr Choi explained.

"Doc, I need you to keep me updated regarding the girl's health," Junwoo said getting up. Mr Choi nodded understandingly. Mr Choi would have seen a lot of cases like these over the years.

"Mr Kang, I need you to come with me," Junwoo said heading towards the door. Daesuk thanked the doctor and followed him out. He had figured out by now that Junwoo was the kind of person to not waste time and get things done quickly. And that's the reason he was at the top of his field.

Both of them sat in the hospital's cafeteria. Junwoo stared at Daesuk who was busy ordering and tasting the menu in the cafeteria. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"What happened yesterday?" he asked leaning forwards on the table.

Daesuk set aside his spoon and wiped his mouth with the tissue and started speaking. He said everything, from the concert to the accident. But he was careful not to mention Jungkook.

"Did you witness all of this?"  Junwoo asked. Daesuk widened his eyes and swallowed a lump in his throat. He looked here and there trying to come up with an answer.

"Don't try to hide anything from a cop. Especially from the ones like me." Junwoo warned.

Daesuk sighed heavily, leaning further into his chair. "I want you to keep it confidential," he said. Junwoo nodded.

"All of this was witnessed by Jeon Jungkook, and I am his manager," he said, now revealing everything related to the accident.

"Fine, this will be confidential as long as you are willing to be cooperative," Junwoo said after contemplating. Daesuk nodded taking a sip from his coffee. There was a question that was nagging Daesuk from the morning."Did you find out who the girl is?" he asked.

Daesuk shook his head, "No, we even investigated the area last night but could not recover anything."

"Then how will you find out about the girl? " Daesuk asked looking concerned.

"We usually have to wait till the patient gains consciousness or we need to wait till someone files a missing report," Junwoo said shrugging. He had seen many cases like this so it was nothing new to him.

Junwoo got a call saying they had tracked the person who had caused the accident. So he stood up saying goodbye to Daesuk. "I want you to bring Mr Jeon when I tell you to," he said before he left.

At the station, Junwoo was breaking his head to find out the person who attacked Jungkook. A team was sent out to Incheon to arrest the person who caused the accident, so one part of the case was finished. But the bigger part was still a mystery.

He relaxed in his chair running his hand through his hair. He threw his head back in the chair closing his eyes. He was pulled back when the station phone rang.

"Hello! Seoul station," he said.

"Officer, I would like to file a missing complaint."
