Finally, the train started to slow down as a bell dinged "Final destination, Chicago" the woman on the speaker said as I huffed, standing up and fixing up my blouse once again. Ash followed, looking me up and down, and fixing my collar before removing a weirdly placed hair on my head. "Come on, let's go" she said, turning to the man who at least stopped trembling, he slowly stood up and walked in front of the girl, he was a tall and lanky man. Not easy to shove in a back of a trunk, but he was also like a noodle, so twisting him around did the trick.
We watch as all the other passengers leave and once the coast was clear, we too headed to the exit. The man walked in the front of us and we could already see a few men waiting outside "You know, we should go out more" Ash suggests, I raise my eyebrow, still sucking away on the lollipop as my other hand held onto Pixies crate "Yeah?" She nods "You know, take some missions abroad or even a vacation-SHIT!" before she could finish her sentence, a sudden loud gunshot was heard, followed by even more shots as both of us flee to the sides of the entrance, being protected by the walls, I hugged the cage, Pixie hissing inside it. Our hostage, however, wasn't so lucky, he was the one who took all those hits and fell to the floor, lifeless. "what the fuck?!" Ash yelled as we both stared at the body "Oh come on! We worked so hard to get him here!" I yelled in annoyance. The firing finally stopped, I stood up, patting my pants down of all the dust "They really made us waste our time with getting him all the way here just to kill him... Dickheads"
Ash growled, standing up and banging on the wall "You finished?" Her question was followed by a couple of slow but heavy footsteps making their way toward us. I huffed, putting my hands in my pockets as I examine the now dead body on the floor "That haircut really doesn't suit him..." I mumbled as Ash stared at me in disbelief "Dude shut up the, boss is here" she spoke as a man stepped into the bus.
The old Japanese man before us exuded an air of power that could not be ignored. He stood tall, his chiseled face creased with age, yet still exuding a resilience that came from decades of living as a Yakuza leader. His piercing gaze seemed to see right through me, as if he was sizing up every aspect of my character in a single glance. Wearing traditional Yakuza clothing, his deep voice commanded the room as he spoke with confidence and authority. His hands were calloused and scarred from a lifetime of combat, and the intricate tattoos etched into his hands told tales of his past victories and losses.
His eyes stared down at the limp body "Well done you two. You have proven yourselves to be worthy" he spoke, his Japanese accent hitting my ears like a truck "Wait... This was a test?!" Ash yelled in disappointment and shock, my eyes widened as I look at the old man "We're still getting the money though, right?!" I panicked, no, there is no way I ruined my car and blouse for nothing. The said man smirked "Yes. But for now, please follow me" he spoke, leaving the train. Ash and I made eye contact, thinking of ways this could possibly go wrong, I huffed, running my hand through my hair "Alright, let's get this over with"
After what felt like hours of driving and walking through giant corridors, the boss led us into a giant gray room, the seats and everything around looked modern as he motioned for us to sit down on an extra expensive-looking couch, the wall behind it having a statue of a Japanese dragon seeming to try to escape the wall. I huff, flopping onto the couch and putting my leg on the other knee, creating a 4 shape. "Listen here, big man, we aren't planning on taking on more jobs from you"
I spoke nonchalantly as Ash made herself comfortable next to me and the boss slowly sat down in front of us, putting three miniature-size cups out and pouring tea into them, he nodded "Now you listen to me...." his voice sounded calm but serious "What you have right now is an opportunity... An opportunity to get out of all the mess you put yourselves into... Tea?" His voice lightened up as he offered us tea, holding a cup with both his hands, Ash and I glanced at each other as I huffed, taking it from him "Cheers" I siad and gulped it down in one swing, Ash side-eyed me "That could be poison- ugh. Listen here, we are just fine the way we are. We got the job done and delivered the package. And I don't understand why we needed to come all the way here to talk about it, the ride here was completely silent." She said, leaning back and throwing her hands over the couch, the man smirked as he slowly took out a couple of documents and threw them on the table, I analyzed all of them immediately and my eyes widened "Where the fuck did you get this?" I said, leaning in and grabbing the first paper I saw, Big Boss leaned bag on his chair "Aashalatha Laghari and Y/N L/N......I know every single crime you've done, and every single debt you owe. Jail awaits for you in twenty states and a few countries... I can clear your names" he said, clasping his hands together.
Ash eyed the man, becoming serious "We're listening" the said man smirked "My family has been dealing with attacks for decades... There is a group back in Korea... They are causing some real trouble in the world of crime... I want you to take care of them" I frowned, Korea? Don't they have some skilled soldiers to take care of this crap? They're a Yakuza for crying out loud, I huffed "Listen, we're just a couple of women trying to get through the day. We're dealing with the situation just fine, thank you very much. We don't want to get involved in high crime stuff" I rolled my eyes as Ash frowned, leaning over to me "We just killed 6 dudes back there" My eyes widened, offended "Yeah! On accident!" The man stared at us, pouring me another cup of tea.
"You may take my offer... And not only earn enormous amounts of money and get your name clear, but also get the respect of my family. Or... You can decline... And deal with the consequences later" His tongue played with every word he spoke, like playing an instrument he was terribly skilled at, but I didn't buy his shit, putting my hands on the table "Yeah, I don't think you're telling the truth, big man. Ain't no way there aren't any downsides to this little operation. You want us to kill some blokes back in Korea and that's it?" Ash shook her head, agreeing with me "Yeah, we're not buying it" The man stayed silent, taking a sip of the tea as his eyes turned dark. The door busted open as two men walked in and immediately pointed their guns at us, Ash and I immediately raised our hands in the air "Oi what the fahk are you doing?!" I screeched, pushing myself into the couch. The boss crossed his legs "Let's say this... You either die there or die here. I'm not willing to risk my men.... but you... Even if you do get out of here alive, the police will strom every secret hideout of yours and track you down... This mission is your only way out of this" Ash didn't waste her breath "Ok ok we take this stupid mission!" She yelled as I frantically nodded along with her "Ye! Get these guns outta mah face!". . .
