I was not in the mood to go home just yet, my mind was clouded and I did not want to go home feeling this way. I find myself driving along a specific route to a specific person.

"Hello?"

"Did I wake you?"

"Uh, but it's okay."

"No, you can go back to sleep, I will call you tomorrow."

"Nkoe, it is okay. Is your dinner over?"

"No, I left."

"Why?"

"I just had to leave."

"Oh, and you thought to call me?"

"I... yes,"

"Are you outside?"

"What makes you think that?"

"Because I am looking at you, Ms. Lenka."

"I did not think you would come to the window."

"Come up."

"I have work tomorrow."

"You will leave early, I promise."

"Fine," I get out of the car, my heels still on

"Oh, lady in black!"

"Stop it." I blush.

"You look hot and sexy."

"Open the gate, Nandi." she giggles before opening the gate and closing it after I am in. While I am tired, my house is not where I want to be or maybe I just do not want to be alone right now.

"You look tired."

"My hours can not all be filled with your beauty."

"You are such a poet," she says looking away to hide her blushing face

"Only for you, Angel."

"Can I make you chamomile tea?" a nod and she heads to make me tea while I get on her couch and take off the stilettos pinching my toes together.

She places it on the table and sits beside me with her knee to her chest and one leg on my lap. "What are you thinking?"

"That you look pretty." I smile, it is hard for me to smile at compliments but knowing that she likes the shell that covers me, brings me joy.

"Why, thank you, I am not used to getting complimented."

"People do not give you compliments?" shaking my head to show the negative "You deserve a million compliments."

"If anyone deserves a universal load of compliments, it is you," I confess with my hand rubbing her shin.

"See what I mean, you are so creative with yours, you deserve to get amazing compliments like that." a giggle erupts from me and instead of talking, I give her the space to tell me everything she wants. My attentiveness to her allows me to forget what happened at the party.

We went to sleep at three am and while I had to go to work in a few hours, I still chose to stay over just to wake up next to her, brighten my morning before my mood ruins it.

She made us breakfast and insisted that I eat something before going to work. When I told her I would need four of her best pieces, she looked shocked but promised to have them ready by Tuesday afternoon and I could fetch them after her shift.

"Listen, we are having a gala on Friday to highlight your works so while I am going to have those four as the focal points, having more would not hurt."
