Chapter 10: The Voidling

( I watched the recent episode of The Mandalorian. I have indeed noticed the title for that episode is "The Pirate". Tbh, I was trying to avoid any redundancies in the naming of chapters vs the show. But I guess that it was inevitable in some way. So hopefully this can slide under the radar of Disney. Because I had no idea that was going to be a thing. Anyways enjoy the chapter.) 

Akali: "Yo."

You tried to stay relaxed but it just turned out to be an awkward staredown between the two of you.

Akali: "So... How was dinner?"

You: "It was good."

You looked down and tried to avoid eye contact with her. Akali then got the hint and spoke up.

Akali: "Your face! I saw your face!"

You: "I know also quite down, everyone is trying to sleep."

Akali: "Right, sorry."

You walked back to the table and took your helmet and put it back on.

Akali: "I'm sorry (YN). I saw your face and... What will happen now?"

You: "It's okay I should've been more careful... I must redeem myself now."

Akali looked down and felt bad. She looked back up at you and walked forward.

Akali: "How can I help?"

You: "What?"

Akali: "How can I help you redeem yourself?"

You: "It's not that simple."

Akali: "I'll do anything to help you. You've been a good friend to us."

You: "To redeem one's self. You must bathe in the living waters that lay under the mines of Mandalore."

Akali: "That doesn't sound too hard."

You: "The problem being is that Mandalore had been abandoned for years now. The surface was destroyed and poisoned by the fusion bombs dropped by the Empire."

Akali: "Oh..."

You could see the guilt on Akali's face. You placed a hand on her shoulder and she looked up at you.

You: "It's alright. If I must make the journey I will. But I must do it alone. Besides the only other option to have me not an apostate is for you to be my life partner. That's complicated already."

Akali blushed at the thought and she just awkwardly laughed and brushed it off.

Akali: "Yeah, pretty complicated... But what if."

You: "What if?"

Akali: "What if we just said I never saw your face? No one can prove I did."

You: "Lie? You could, but it would honor the creed and the way."

Akali: "Worth a shot ay?"

You: "It was but don't worry about it. I'll get it sorted out hopefully."

Akali: "Well I'm going to grab a quick snack and go back to my room. Goodnight (YN)."

You: "Goodnight."

You saw as Akali walked back to her room with a snack.

Akali's POV...

I made it back to my room with my bag of Doritos. I just sat at my gaming table and just put my headphone on. But it hit me...

Me: 'I CAN'T BELIEVE I SAW HIS FACE! WHY IS HE SO HANDSOME AND HOT?! *Internal screaming*'
