Xu Lanxiang didn't agree, "I don't want Lao Wang to buy. I might as well come by myself. You don't know, seeing Lao Wei go out shopping for vegetables earlier, he volunteered to help me. As a result, I said to buy two carrots, he really only bought two. I told him to buy a few eggs and he bought twelve back. I was talking about a few, not a dozen, and he strictly denied my naggings. Really, I want to hit him."

"Isn't he very obedient?" He Xiaoyun was straightforward.

"Being obedient? I just think he has no brains." Xu Lanxiang sneered.

Back at home, He Xiaoyun put her things down and hurriedly set up the stove to start a fire.

Wei Yuanhang was playing next door, and when he saw Xu Lanxiang coming home, he knew she was back too, so he rushed over immediately, "Mom! Mom, you're back."

He Xiaoyun handled a newly bought toffee and gave him, "You didn't make trouble in Auntie's house, right?"

"No, I'm good." Wei Yuanhang put the toffee into his mouth, saw the goods on the ground, wowed, and vaguely said, "Mom bought a lot of things!"

"These are to be eaten for the New Year." He Xiaoyun heated her hands a little before squeezing his cheek, and said with a smile, "After the New Year, you won't be a three-year-old child anymore, but a four-year-old one."

The child didn't understand the joke but still puffed out his small breast and proudly said: "I will grow up soon!"

"Yeah. You've grown so big." Feeling her hands and feet slowly warming up, instead of freezing like before, He Xiaoyun got up and sorted out the items she bought.

Halfway through arranging her goods, she felt a little pain in her belly. He Xiaoyun went to the bathroom and realized that it was menstruation.

Her menstrual period has always been irregular, sometimes coming in twenty days, sometimes thirty or forty days. As there is no other uncomfortable pain, He Xiaoyun isn't very concerned.

But If she knew that this 'aunt' would come, she would definitely not run out on such a cold day today. He Xiaoyun didn't know if it was because of the cold but this time, it just hurt. Unlike in the past, when her aunt came, it didn't hurt this much.

The pain is not severe, it is just her lower abdomen is stuffy, her lower back is sore, and it's enough to make people feel restless, it simply can't be ignored.

He Xiaoyun remembered that when she was in high school in her previous life, there was a girl in the dormitory who fainted in the middle of the night because of the pain of her menstruation and frightened them all.

He Xiaoyun was so uncomfortable with only a little pain, but the other girl fainted, how painful must it be?

Wei Jianwei came back in the evening, knowing that she was out shopping today, which he didn't agree with: "Why didn't you wait for me to buy it?"

He Xiaoyun pouted her mouth and said faintly: "Stop talking, I'm already regretting it."

Seeing that her face wasn't right, Wei Jianwei took two steps forward, put his palm on her forehead, and felt her temperature, "Are you feeling sick? Feverish?"

"No," He Xiaoyun shook her head, embarrassed to explain the real reason to him, and only said, "My stomach hurts a bit, it will be fine tomorrow."

Wei Jianwei wasn't fooled. "What did you eat today?"

"It's not that reason." He Xiaoyun was a little helpless, not knowing where to start.

This is not her past life where there's physiology class. He Xiaoyun doesn't know how much Wei Jianwei knows about women's physiology.

The vaguer she said it, the more worried Wei Jianwei was. His face was already frowning, and he even planned to put on his coat again and go out, "I'll take you to the hospital."

He Xiaoyun became anxious, "No need. I am, I am-"

She then stomped her foot in shame, "My aunt is here!"

Wei Jianwei's dressing motion stopped, his frowning brows didn't loosen, and he asked in rare confusion, "Aunt?"

He Xiaoyun already expected that he didn't understand, and bit the bullet and said: "It's menstruation... once a month, women will have..."

What she said was vague but Wei Jianwei understood that it was women's business. He was a little uncomfortable, but he quickly concealed it.

"...Will it hurt?"

"Well," He Xiaoyun nodded with her head down, "It never before."

Wei Jianwei didn't know what to do for her and stood there a little lost. Fortunately, after a while, he thought of a solution and walked out quickly.

He Xiaoyun was wondering what he was doing. After a few minutes, he came back, picked her up, took off her shoes, and tucked her into the bed.

"What are you doing?" He Xiaoyun wanted to sit up.

Wei Jianwei pressed her down and said, "Lie down and don't move. Keep warm. I'll make your brown sugar water."

After speaking, he went into the kitchen.

He Xiaoyun looked at his back, confused. He didn't even know what her aunt was just now, and in a blink of an eye, he became a friend of women? (considerate)

Wei Yuanhang saw his father holding his mother onto the bed, and ran over. He lies on the side of the bed, with worry on his face, "Mom, are you sick?"

"No, mom just has a little stomachache, and it will be fine tomorrow."

The child frowned, "Then I will blow it away for mom."

The child really breathed hard at the position of He Xiaoyun's belly through the quilt. She laughed: "It's okay, do you want to come in and lie down with me?"

Wei Yuanhang nodded, lifted the quilt, and crawled into her bed.

It happened that Wei Jianwei walked in with a glass in hand and saw this scene. He carried the child and put him on the inside of the bed. He then said, "Tonight you sleep in, your mom will sleep in the middle."

Wei Yuanhang looked at the wall inside the bed and looked at the position that his mother had occupied. He wanted to lie between his father and mom, but his mom was sick. He was a man, and he needed to be considerate to women!

Thinking of this, the child patted He Xiaoyun's hand generously, "Mom needs to get better soon."

"Yes." He Xiaoyun smiled. She sat up and planned to take the glass in Wei Jianwei's hand. But he didn't let her take over. Instead, he put his arms around her shoulders from behind, took her into his arms, and handed the cup of water to her mouth, "Just drink like this."

"It's just a stomachache, there's no need to do that." He Xiaoyun mumbled.

But Wei Jianwei insisted that she had to drink like this and she drank most of the warm brown sugar water.

Wei Jianwei put the cup on the bedside table, reached into the quilt, picked up her outermost clothes, and put it on her belly.

His hands were very warm, and she didn't know if it was a psychological effect but He Xiaoyun felt that her stomach really didn't feel so uncomfortable.

Then she remembered: "How did you know about the warm sugar water?"

"Sister Xu." Wei Jianwei said, still holding unto her. His tone was plain and flat, and he didn't feel that he had said anything terrible.

"What?!" He Xiaoyun's face cracked as she wailed in her heart.

Since Wei Jianwei asked this question, He Xiaoyun could already think of what stance Xu Lanxiang would use to make fun of her tomorrow!
