He didn't reply.

Well...

It's my turn to have a shower.

I strip myself then walk into the bath.

I need music.

Come to think of it...where's my phone?

I haven't seen it since last night.

It's in your purse, Shadz.

Oh...

But I still need music.

Mi nah come out back innuh.

I hiss my teeth then turn on the shower.

School starts next week and I? Can't wait.

Just thinking about learning new things makes me happy.

School is my happy place.

I'm so excited about 11th grade!

I know it's going to be hard...or that's what they say...but I love a little challenge.

The easy things doesn't make me feel same...the challenging one does.

You know? Buss yuh brain and yuh get them right? Yah man.

That prove seh yuh can do yuh ting.

I hop out the shower and take a towel from the cupboard.

As I step into the room, Gio's clothes greets me on the bed.

Mi guess a dem deh mi fi put on.

He's not in here.

Before putting on my clothes, I take some time to look for my phone in my purse.

I found it.

I press the power button and the big 10:15 a.m greets me.

Time fi yuh gah yuh yawd.

Real.

I pull down the notification bar.

I call back Mommy. I'll call Sasha when I reach home.

She answers on the second ring.

"Good morning, Mommy." I'm the first to speak.

"Morning, Shadz. Yuh neva see me deh call yuh?"

"No Mommy, sorry, my phone was off." I lie.

Strike 2.

"Mmhm. Me deh a work now, when me come home, me and you go have a little talk." I already know what this "little talk" is about. The talk about boys, how they only want to use me and I should stay far from them...

"Ok Mommy,"

"Yes, lata, Love you."

"Love you too, bye." I hang up.

I walk to the bed to put on the clothes Gio left. That's when I realized how beautiful his room is.

I didn't get a chance to see it last night.

Just like the bathroom, the decor is black and gold. The room is painted in black.

The tiles on the floor are marble black and gold.
