Nunew's POV

I walked out of the office with Rain following from behind.

"Nhu , let's talk it out." He said grabbing my arm but yank my arm away.

"Don't touch me." I said , feeling my anger rise making everyone in the office turned to us. Rain sigh , grabbing my arm as he dragged me upstairs making me groan , trying to push him away. He then pulled me to an empty meeting room.

"Let go Rain." I said as he let go of my arm making me breathe out heavily.

"Listen , I know you are upset .." he said.

"How could you do this ?!" I asked in anger.

"The actual mole of the company is you all this time !" I said in disbelief.

"I can explain why I did this !" He fought back.

"Yeah , what is your explanation huh ?!" I asked.

"This is your dream company. You love this company ! You love it so much ! That's why I'm doing everything that I can so that Khun Yáy can't shut down this company !" He explained making me frown.

"I never once thought of backstabbing you , you hear me ?!" He asked , grabbing arms as I then push him away by his chest.

"Speak no more. How could you talk to her without telling me ?!" I asked making him sigh , running his fingers through his hair.

"I just wanted to tell you once everything is settled !" He said , defending himself.

"This is what backstabbing is !" I fought back.

"You inviting other people to joint-venture is a huge issue, Rain !" I shouted as he put his hands up , trying to calm me down.

"This is so disrespectful !" I shouted in anger.

"I get it , I am sorry okay !" He said as I chuckled in disbelief.

"We're partners , Rain. You're the last person I thought would do this to me !" I exclaim.

"I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry okay , Nhu ? Perhaps I didn't think it through but there's no way I woild betray you !" He said and I nod.

"Is there anything else I need to know ?" I asked as he put his hand up , shaking his head as he then walked towards the table , sighing.

"Good. Then let's break up properly." I said coldly as I fold my arms making him turn to me , shock.

"Huh ? What do you mean by break up ?" He asked.

"Please don't take it out on us. That's an entirely different story." He said.

"I am calling off our engagement." I said before walking away but he grabbed my arm making me turn.

"Let go of me , Rain." I said , trying to get out of his grip.

"Let's talk first. Calm your temper." He said.

"I said let go , Rain ! Stop being so rude !" I shouted as I push him away before walking away.

"Nhu ! Nhu ! We are not done talking !" He said as he grabbed my wrist , turning me around as I sigh , trying to push his hand away.

"I said let go of me Rain !" I said , fighting back.

"Mai. Let's talk about it !" He said as I push him away.

"Why are you being so rude ?!" I asked breathing hard.

"I know that you're very upset but can't you calm down for a minute ?" He asked as I look at him , annoyed.

"Everything I did , I did it for you , I love you , that's why I did it .." he said.

"I love you and I don't want to break up over something so trivial .." he said as I breathe out.

"Trivial ? You think this is is a trivial matter ?! I can't even trust you with work anymore !" I fought back.

"How do you even expect me to trust you in other things ?!" I asked as he sigh.

"I am not going to break up. I am not going to give up on us !" He said making me chuckle in disbelief.

"There was never a 'us' !" I fought back.

"We're about to get married Nhu." He said as I groan in frustration , sighing as I held my temple.

"I don't think I can marry you , Rain." I said making him frown.

"Why not ?" He asked.

"Because I already have a lover !" I said making him freeze.

"You heard me. I have a boyfriend , Rain." I said.

"Who is your lover ? Answer me , Nhu." He said in disbelief.

"Zee is my lover." I answered with no hesitation making him frown , stepping back.

"Are you playing with me right now , Nhu ?" He asked , still not believing me.

"I am not telling you just because of today. I know that someday I'll eventually tell you." I said.

"This is why I am breaking off our so called engagement." I said sternly.

"You yourself said that we should come clean with each other. Well now you know , the reason why I can't marry you is because I love Zee and not you." I said as he look at me.

"Me and Zee are lovers. We've been dating for awhile now. This is what I've been wanting to tell you the most." I said before storming off , leaving him standing there.

Zee's POV.

I sigh , looking at my phone not receiving any text from Khun Nu. Soon I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. I turn seeing Khun Nu with a cold expression on him. He walked straight to the office without saying anything. I sigh , frowning.

Nunew's POV.

"I am sorry Ms Nita .. but our company can't do the joint-venture." I said as she look at me.

"Are you sure you're going to let go of this opportunity ?" She asked and I nod with no hesitation.

"I am. I stand by my words." I said as she sigh , nodding.

"I hope you won't regret this decision of yours." She said and I nodded.

"All right , I understand , Khun Nu .." she said.

"Once again , I am sorry if you had to come all the way here and gain nothing." I said making her smile.

"It's alright .. even though we don't get to be business partners .. I wonder if there's a chance for us to be more than that." She said , leaning forward making me look at her.

"Of course , we can be friends in business." I said making her chuckle.

"That's not what I actually mean .." She said making me frown.

"I don't quite get you , Ms Nita." I said , confused.

"I was wondering if we could be more that just friends in business." She said , smiling.

"Because as you know Khun Nu , I am very fond of you. You impress me countless of times." She said.

"I eventually became one of your fans." She said , chuckling as she looked at me.

"So I think , we could be more than just friends in business." She said , smirking.

So Ms Nita likes our Khun Nu ?! Hmmmmmmmmmmm uh ohh 🫣
