Chapter 11: Conner

After that conversation with sir Billiam I felt a lot better about letting Ranboo staying here, I went off to finish my work before I noticed Ranboo in the garden looking at something in the bushes,

"Hey buddy what are you looking at?" I walked up and looked in the direction of the bush

"There's a kid over there but he's too scared to come out..."

A kid?! How did a kid get in here?

"Alright buddy can you go play while I handle this?"

"Okay papa!" He hugs me and ran off to do what ever he does when I'm not around

I slowly approached the bushes, when I was about 5 feet away from it I saw movement, when I was close enough I saw a small Child younger then Ranboo sleeping in the bushes, I gently picked him up trying not to wake him before walking back into the mansion.

The boy had light brown hair and was about half Ranboo's height but Ranboo's the tallest kid I've ever seen.

On closer inspection he seems to have bruises on his arm in the shape of a hand mark, my heart clutched at the sight how could anyone ever hurt a small innocent child?! (Yes I am aware that my own mother and stepfather abused and neglected me but that's besides the point)

I decided to bring him to sir Billiam's room so he could get some sleep before I ask him questions,

"Who's the kid?" I finished tucking the kid in on my cot,as I turn to look at sir Billiam

"I don't know, Ranboo found him in the garden."

"In the garden? How did he get in?!"

"Sir please clam your self."

He took a deep breath in before he stared at the child

"Do you want to adopt him as well?"

"I'm sorry?" I  wasn't sure if I had herd him worng

"I can see the way you're looking at him, you want to adopt him don't you?"

"What makes you say that?"

"You look at Ranboo the same way you're looking at him right now, if he does not have a caretaker I do not see why we can't add him to the family."

I do feel the need to protect the child but I don't want to take him away from his parents if he has parents that is...

"Why don't we wait until he's awake?" Sir Billiam seem to pick up on my hesitance.

"Of course sire."
