Jill, Love?" Pabulong na tanong ni Carmelo.
"Oo. Ata? " Pabulong naman sagot ko sakanya.
Everything is going great to this household. Now that Mama no longer holds a public post. She is taking all the time getting back on things she put on hold, which is good for her. Ate Aika got divorced 2 years ago. She has a new partner now and Aya loves and adores him so much. Carmelo and I are back together. Lastly, our bunso is getting married. She just said YES to Tyler, her boyfriend for 3 years.
"See, Daddy. That is what you called keeping up." She runs and give her Ninang Jill a hug.
"Did she just?"
"Yes, Love. She just bullied you, again. Hindi ka naman matatalo ng anak mo. So yeah, she's right. Keep up Daddy!" Pang aasar ko rin sakanya.
Boys has their on session sa balcony after lunch. The kids are playing upstairs.
"So Patty where are you at giving Carys a brother, huh?"
Children's innocent minds. Akala ata nila bibili ka lang itlog sa tindahan then boom baby brother/sister na agad.
"Oh my God! Hindi ko alam saan natutunan ng pamangkin niyo yan. Kinukulit niya kami sa baby brother na yan."
"You can go on honeymoon. I can babysit." Alok ni Mama.
"Maaaa!" Suway ko sakanya. "I think I'm not ready for another baby. Anyway, enough about us. Jill, may plano na kayo?" tanong ko.
Madami dami rin ang napag usapan namin. From one topic to another and another.
On our way home napansin ko na ang tahimik ni Carmelo.
"Love, you okay? Parang ang tahimik mo."
Carys requested to stay and spend the rest of the day with her Ninang Jill. She'll be flying tomorrow back to New York.
Tanging tango lamang ang nakuha kong sagot sakanya.
Nanitili siyang tahimik even after namin makauwi sa condo. Hinayaan ko lang siya kasi sabi ko baka pagod.
Natapos na kaming mag dinner at lahat pero bilang na bilang ang mga salitang lumalabas mula sa kanya.
He on his laptop while I am on the bed reading a book. I need to know what's the problem bago pa lumaki. Never again. Never.
I walk up straight to where he is. Nagulat pa siya ng kumandong ako sakaniya. I need his full attention.
"Something is not right. Tell me about it. Hindi ka tatahimik kung wala." Nagsasawalang kibo pa siya. Trying to get to his laptop.
"Look at me, Love. Anong problema?" Mahinahon kong tanong habang hawak siya sakaniyang magkabilang pisngi. He is still not looking at me.
"Uh oh! Look at me, Love. Look at me." He is still trying to avoid me so I kiss him on his lips. "Now tell me, bakit ang tahimik ng mahal ko?"
I got his full attention now. He look straight in my eyes.
"Narinig ko 'yong sinabi mo kanina kina Mama."
