"We need to bind it to the ground so it wont be flying all over the place!" You holler up at him in the air.

"Good idea, I'll try keeping it in one place so you can grab all its legs!" He yells back.

You nod. Good we have some teamwork going on now. You continue wrapping the vines around its legs in an attempt to pull it to the ground. You managed to finally grab two more, you just need one more of his front paws.

"I need one more! Keep it steady if you can!" You yell.

"Yeah!" He replies.

You kept hurling the vines at the beast, but kept on missing and missing. The manticore was moving its arm around wildly, it seemed like it knows what you're doing and trying to refrain you from continuing.

You manage to grab ahold of it by binding your vines against his body, keepings his other arm free. At that point you had to just wrap some vines around its body since it just wouldn't keep its other arm still.

The tactic worked and you were finally able to pull the beast to the ground. The loud thud startled you, this thing must weigh a ton.

"Keep it still." Hunter says approaching it.

You do as he says and try and maintain it still, keeping hold of the vines binding it to the ground. You walk and stand alongside Hunter as he slowly approaches it, readying his staff for the final blow.

"You should look away." He says, looking at you with a stern expression on his face.

"No, I wanna do it." You say, slowly approaching it.

"Y/N, that's too dangerous." He says.

"Just let me." You say.

He looks at you with a worried expression, slowly backing away, with his staff still at the ready to hurt it if needed if it attacks you.

You approach it and hold our your palisman.

"I don't want to kill it, I want to minimize it." You say.

Hunter sighs and nods. Of course you wouldn't want it to be killed...

"Hey bud, I'm just gonna turn you into a tiny little thing okay, so just hold still for me, it wont hurt a bit." You say.

The beast growls, and whirls it free hand at you in attempt to scratch you. You quickly dodge it and back away a bit more.

"It's okay..." You say, holding out your staff.

You lightly tap the top of its head with your palisman and immediately, it become tiny, the size of a fly.

"There we go.. It cant hurt anyone now can it?" You smile, looking back at Hunter.

"At this point the most damage it can do to a witch is a pixie bite." You smile.

(equivalent to mosquito bites)

"You're way too merciful." Hunter says.

"its best to be." You say.

"Yeah I guess." He says.

"Well, back to the emperors coven huh?" You grin turning to look at him.

He nods.

"Thanks for.. coming with me." He says softly.

"Yeah of course." You grin.

You grab his hand along the way and hold it tight, he flushes pink.

*snap*

"What was that?" You say.

"I didn't hear anything." He says.

You stop walking and look around for a quick second to see if something or someone is there. But.. it doesn't seem like anyone is.

"Hm, whatever." You shrug it off and continue walking out the forest.

"Since we're here, do you wanna get some ice scream? I've only really gotten some with Gus, there's this one flavor I think you would really like." You grin.

"I suppose dropping by for a quick second wont hurt, but, we should take it to go." He says.

"Yeah of course!" You grin, as you both walk hand in hand into the ice scream shop.

He first off removes his mask so no one will recognize him, and he hides his staff in his pocket, he's able to minimize it, to fit in his pocket and take it out when he needs to.

You open the doors, and you rush over to look at the flavors.

"I like this flavor, but I think you would like this flavor, you should give it a try." You say pointing at the flavors of ice scream through the glass.

"Okay, I'll give it a try." He says.

Once you both pick out your flavors you begin walking out of the shop, heading back to the emperors coven.

"This is actually really good, how did you know I would like this?" He asks.

"It just seems like a you thing to like, I don't know, it just makes me thing of you." You say.

He smiles, and takes another bite. He then looks around to make sure not a lot of people are nearby and he turns to you and puts his hand on your shoulder.

"Um... about earlier, in my room..? Um.. I'm really sorry, that wasn't civilized of  me and I-." Hunter blushes.

"O-oh! that? Why are you apologizing, its fine." You laugh awkwardly, blushing as well.

"I... I don't know..." He blushes.

"Don't worry about it." You grin, putting your hand against his cheek.

"Here." You smile, leaning in to him.

"O-oh! ah-" He stutters.

You give him a simple kiss on the cheek. He makes a little squeak noise as soon as your lips touch his red cheek.

*snap*

"Eheheh... heh..." He laughs to himself as he slowly pulls away from your little peck.

"Wait- there it is again." You say.

"What?" He says.

"That noise I heard earlier, like a snap or something?" You say.

"I uh.. I didn't hear anything." Hunter says, looking down, hands against his cheeks, ears bright red.

"Maybe I'm tired and I'm hearing things..." You say.

"Do you want to take a nap? You can use my bed." he offers.

"I'll just be reporting stuff through my files around the castle while you rest, I wont be bothering you or anything, I can totally understand if you're a little sleepy." He says.

"Thanks, I guess I will take a nap then." You smile.

He nods, and you both continue walking the rest of your way back to the castle.

Some hours pass...

Kiki's POV:

2 pictures are hung on a corkboard, 2 pictures of you and Hunter. Kiki is cackling and pointing at the pictures to her guards.

"I think we just need one more picture... and then we will have plenty of evidence to show Emperor Belos." Kiki smiles evilly.

"She's in his room, go find more evidence, will you?" Kiki smirks, pointing at the coven guards.

"yes ma'am." They say simultaneously, immediately exiting the room.

Kikimora walks up to her desk chair and kicks her feet up against her deck and lets out a good sigh.

"This is going justttt assss.... planned.. heheheh!"
