quirk ideas i came up with + hero costumes, names and titles to go along with them.

ー not all quirks have hero names and costumes. most of the more recent ones also have hero titles, but- again- not all of them do

Like the actual Medusa, this Quirk gives you snakes instead of actual hair.
And also like Medusa, anyone who gazes directly into your eyes will be turned to stone. (Only for a while though.)
At first the Quirk will obviously be hard to control, but with practice and throughout your life the control you can have over it will improve.
At the point of almost-mastering this Quirk, I imagine you'll be able to control how long a person will be turned to stone instead of it being random.
As the snakes in your head are literally a part of you, you'll be able to understand and communicate with them easily. Think of it as you being able to speak Parseltongue.
Bonus ability: as snakes are reptiles, you can also understand and communicate with other reptiles (such as lizards, turtles, crocodiles etc.)
The "if you look me in the eyes, you'll be turned to stone" drawback (drawback as in it's an annoying thing to be happening in daily life) can be countered easily—glasses.
Or a blindfold.
It doesn't matter. What does matter though, is that your hero costume has a retractable visor.
