A few short minutes passed by this way, as the frightened child continued to keep him down, and almost soundlessly whimpered cries into his shoulder. He eventually had to pull her away himself, blue optics locking with that single pink. In the haze of the dust covering his vision, he hadn't noticed earlier, but a sharp shard of ceiling material was poking into the girl's other eye, possibly one of the things that had her this disheveled, as, despite the permanent smile, her face sported a pained expression.

His eyebrows furrowed, the ursine moved his hand a little close to that damage, making sure to only brush his finger over and not apply much pressure that it'd hurt her further. Even at that she'd tried at flinching back, thus he left the thing unattended, and instead rested his hand below her cheek to provide an ounce of assurance. He would've spoken too, if JJ hadn't beat him to it. The smaller almost jumped up as she gave him the news.

"I .. I split from her ..." it wasn't hard to guess who she was talking about. She immediately shifted away from him after and pointed with her hands in the direction she'd come from. "... over there. The walls broke between us and she told me to stay where I was ... Didn't say anything else since then,"

Her voice was shaky, that's one thing he noted, not more, as a feeling of concern had taken over everything else regarding the kid, and he didn't waste time in straightening back to his height. Casting a glance over to the rest of his fellows, he then only quizzed the girl for the first and the last time .. "The way's all blocked?"

The kid settled on a short mhm, at which he exhaled faintly, then turned around and gestured with his head for everyone to start back ...

It'd been a while since last they'd set on course for a direction Freddy had suggested after taking a peak at that map he'd found. Where he was keeping said map was no mystery to the others, as that too was done with Foxy's help, where he'd crumpled the piece of paper into a ball and the pirate had stuffed it in the small hollow section of his hat. From there, Foxy was the only who could pull it out as well, as Freddy's hand was big and, on the contrary, the vulpine had a hook, so that was the russet mascot's main job there. Bonnie was wandering around with his ears mostly serving any purpose to this little group, while the ursine himself was carrying the kid at his side, supported by his left arm, as said girl had grown exhausted after walking for so long.

It was another moment's stride that they finally reached the area they'd been aiming to find, and the bear had, without many apprehensions stepped through the door. Behind it was another destroyed section of the factory, undistinguishable by all means and with only a few flickering lights in a distance. Any remains it had possibly crushed under the ceiling--that now exposed a giant hole allowing for the night sky to peer in. It wasn't the clearest night, for sure, as nothing but hazy clouds were visible there.

But, not that this group really cared about sight-seeing at the moment. They were on search, and that was more important than anything else.

Ultimately, as some time more passed, Bonnie's ears picked up a distant bang, too low to be heard by the rest. He stopped his stride for a brief minute, causing at first Foxy, and then the lead mascot to halt as well, and look his way. Sensing all attention on himself, Bonnie just gestured ahead.

"I heard a sound,"

Then, as it repeated, Foxy too felt a sudden tingle in his sensitive ear, and he stepped back a few paces. At this point it was only Freddy and the kid near enough to the site the sounds were coming from, while the others had best kept themselves away.

Growing skeptical, the bear was about to shift himself and question, when another, explosive in degree sound boomed through the entire room, forcing him to tense up and cast a stupefied glance behind. Within a short lapse of a second the ursine could spot what looked like a blinking red light a few feet away from himself, before a beeping ringed in his, and all else's hearing, and piled a dread atop any other thought. Impulsive, he'd wasted no time in rather abruptly jolting in direction of the other two, and alongside pushing them further away, had managed to create enough distance between them and the spot. His own self, well, he was far enough, yet still couldn't help but instantly pull the kid under a tight embrace while his back faced the direction, all as an ear-bursting bang spread in the entire area with the eruption of a bright light.
