I opened my eyes, the sun blaring into my eyes.

I blinked, trying to get my eyes to adjust.

I looked down at Maddie, laying on my chest.

"Hey," I whispered, brushing her hair out of her eyes.

"It's too early for this," She muttered, cuddling closer to me.

"Oh yeah?"I whispered back, still playing with her hair.

"Mhm," she answered, wrapping her arms around my chest, burying her head in my shoulder.

"Okay then," I whispered, laying back.

We laid there for a few minutes, or maybe it was hours, i don't know.

"ASH!" I heard Andrew call from downstairs.

"Maddie, I have to go," I whispered.

Maddie muttered something under her breath, then sat up, letting me go.

"I'll be back in a second," I whispered, leaning in and kissing her.

I stood up and walked down the stairs.

"Yeah?" I asked.

His face was painted with worry.

"You have to go, now. The Guard are here. There is a horse in the back, take it and run." He ordered.

I nodded and ran to put on my boots. I grabbed my cloak, glancing up the stairs.

What was Maddie going to think?

If she found out I had been lying, she would think what I told her last night was a lie.

But it wasn't. Maybe my name and where I was from was a lie but I loved her.

I sighed, knowing there was nothing I could do.

I ran out the back and jumped up on the horse, taking off, not sure what to do.
