Aou was walking aimlessly on the road.

Korn had the keys of the car. When Aou left, he didn't ask for the keys or anything. Now, he doesn't have a ride home.

That was until Korn stopped the car next to him. He unlocked the door for Aou but the latter hadn't still notice his brother's presence.

“Aou,” Korn called. He smiled at Aou who looked taken aback by his presence. He then signaled Aou to hop in the car which he did after some hesitation.

Both of them sat in silence, unaware of what to say to the other. Aou knew that Korn had a lot of questions. He wasn't sure of how to answer them. He was scared that the answers might drive Korn away from him.

“…What are you doing here?“ Aou asked. To be fair, he wasn't expecting Korn to come after him. The two siblings didn't have the best relationship with each other. They rarely talked and aren't that close. According to Aou, Wai might be closer to Korn than he is.

“I broke up with Wai,” Korn replied. Saying it out loud hurt him more than he expected.

Aou slowly processed it. He looked at Korn in disbelief. “…Because of what you saw there?“ He asked.

Korn didn't answer. He remained mute and started to drive instead. This behaviour of his shocked Aou. He couldn't believe that Korn would just break up with Wai because of this small thing.

“Korn, say something. Did you really break up with him because of what you saw?“ Aou asked again, a bit louder than usual.

“Aou, just let it go. It doesn't matter now anyway,” Korn sighed. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel while he kept looking straight on the road.

Aou looked away from Korn. Another guilt to add in his life. “He is a nice guy,” He said, trying to convince Korn to get back with Wai.

“His parents are not though. Wai's mother told me bullshits about you. I didn't like that at all,” Korn said.

Aou was stunned. He turned to look at Korn. “…What kind of lies?“ He asked, cautiously.

“She told me that you are not my brother. Can you believe that? We spent our whole life together and she just throws some nonsense like that,” Korn exclaimed in disgust.

Aou felt his breath getting stuck. He clenched his fist on the seat in shock. Korn didn't get a reply from Aou for quite a long time so he slightly turned his face towards him. Seeing the anxious look on Aou's face, Korn started feeling scared of the answer he might get.

“…It is a lie, right?“ Korn asked. He started feeling stuffy in his chest. He felt the tears starting to fill up in his eyes.

Aou bit his shivering lips. He slowly shook his head, indicating that whatever Wai's mother said is true. “I'm sorry…” His voice cracked.

Korn pressed the break of the car in the middle of the deserted road. He sat there in silence. No reaction, nothing from him.

Aou was at least hoping a kind of reaction from Korn but now that he didn't get any, he can't help but feel more in distress. He hated when Korn became difficult to read.

“…Korn, please say something,” Aou begged him.

“…Who's adopted? Me or you?“ Korn asked. He didn't even spare a glance at Aou while asking the question.

Aou wished he could have answer the question in a way that Korn would not have been hurt but it just wasn't possible at all.

“…You are adopted,” Aou said.
