"You what?!" Ezra never really shouted at his little sister, but when he caught her covered in blood sneaking back into her cabin, he couldn't help it.

"I'm sorry" she mumbled, Elijah knew she had been caught and emerged from the shadows to somehow soften the blow

"It was entirely my fault" he began

"Elijah, I like you, but stay out of this" he put a hand up to a very surprised Elijah "so, you're telling me, you walked into the tomb, found Elijah, freed him and walked away, no witches"

"It's the truth" she pleaded "I don't know why it was so easy, but it was"

Elijah knew why it was so easy for her, he thought it best to not tell her. What she didn't know wouldn't hurt her, and if it did, Elijah was strong and fast enough to protect her.

Ezra paced for a minute "if anything comes from this..." He began

"... Yeah it's my fault, I get it" Clarissa folded her arms like a scolded child

"I told her where I was" Elijah interrupted, trying to take all of the blame

Ezra didn't answer. "I'm not sure, what's really going on between you two right now, but if it puts her in danger then, stop it"

"There's nothing going on" Elijah reassured him. Clarissa felt like someone had shoved their hand into her gut, she knew nothing was going on, but that wasn't to say that he felt something for her

"No" she shook her head "nothing"

"Good" Ezra rubbed his forehead and turned around and walked away afraid that his werewolf rage would kick in.

Clarissa and Elijah stood in an awkward silence for a moment, Clarissa twiddled her thumbed and Elijah looked around the bayou.

"Thank you, by the way" he started off "for helping me"

"It's alright" Clarissa shrugged, she smiled at him cutely.

They walked back into the camp to see Jackson and Hayley standing in the middle of Clarissa's pack.

"Hayley" Elijah breathed, why was she there?. They didn't realise Elijah's presence, too busy in speaking with the others

"... And so that is why; we are moving the wedding day up tomorrow" Hayley finished "Dahlia is not going to get the best of us"

"So speak now; if you want to become a part of the newest and improved werewolf pack" Jackson added

Clarissa turned to Elijah, who had literally turned a paler colour than he already was. And that was damn near impossible.

"Surprisingly, we're okay on our own" Ezra scoffed as the crescents

"Good riddance" Jackson murmured loud enough for them to hear. Clarissa took a step closer to hit him but she was blocked by Elijah's arm.

He looked at her to tell her he wanted to hear more of what they had to say

"It doesn't affect us, we said no, why are you still here?" Clarissa shouted, directing Hayley's attention to Elijah. She stopped, shocked that he was there.

"We were just leaving" Jackson spat, taking Hayley's arm and pushing past. He stopped shoulder to shoulder with Clarissa "it'll be a shock to you when you're no longer the superior pack" he scoffed, before leaving.

Clarissa stood still. She hated Jackson with a deep deep passion and being that close only made her want to rip out his heart right then and there.

Elijah was quiet and Clarissa could feel his pain immensely. "Maybe, you should go home" Clarissa placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder "get some rest"

Elijah nodded before leaving without a word or even a goodbye.

"Ugh" Clarissa threw herself on to one of the chairs in her living room. Long and stressful day or what?

Maybe, if she closed her eyes for a bit; then she would have the energy to actually crawl to her bed.

A gentle tap on the door startled her half asleep self awake. "Who's that" she whispered at this time of the night.

"It's me" Elijah called back, obviously listening to her speaking to herself

Clarissa stumbled to the door, rubbing her eyes and greeted Elijah "what do you want at this time?" She asked unimpressed

"Well, seeing as you were on the chair; I thought you'd need a prompt to get up" he laughed

Clarissa laughed in return "you were watching me sleep" she nodded and made him sound creepy

Elijah tried to argue his case, but he knew whatever he said would only dig the hole deeper. "Are you going to the wedding tomorrow?" He asked rather shyly

"My invite must have been lost in the mail" she joked "I don't think Jackson would want me there"

"What is it with you and Jackson? You act like you hate each other" Elijah enquired

"That's another story, for another time" Clarissa tried to get off the subject

"Well it doesn't matter whether he wants you there or not, I hereby invite you to the wedding as my; plus one, if you will" Elijah smiled

Clarissa's heart skipped a beat. "Like a date" she pressed her lips together and twiddled her fingers like a nervous school girl

"Yes, like a date" Elijah agreed "would you be okay to meet me there? Being a Mikaelson entails that I also have to be a part of Rebekah's wedding committee"

"That's fine" Clarissa nodded "I'll meet you there at 12?"

"Perfect"
