Chapter 24

Manik's pov

I woke up when I felt something move on my chest, it took my head a couple seconds to register that oh it's not an animal it's nandini.

I opened my eyes and found her snuggling in my chest, I realized I was still wearing my hoodie from last night, I usually don't sleep with t shirts or hoodie on but it was kinda cold last night

I looked down and kissed her head making me grip my hoodie tighter, she is so small in my arms. Last night was umm beyond words, I mean it wasn't extravagant or very grand but the smile on her face when the sun came up was worth watching

When I clicked a picture she turned to me trying to see where the sound came from, she is an angel for me. I love her, I do, but we need time to grow together I guess before I tell her so that she doesn't get scared

I grabbed my phone and saw it was 12, we slept around 6ish so I didn't wanna wake her up. She loves her sleep, I mean she is always sleepy like 24/7.

I did notice a text from my father and I knew he did need those files today which means I would have to go to the office which also means leaving nandini alone for that amount of time.

I just have gotten so close to her that time without her seems impossible to pass, I wish my mom was here so I could introduce her to nandini and get her opinion not that it would make me think any less of nadnini.

But I know my mom would have loved her, its sure she looks down and watches us. I hope she approves of us because I plan on spending my future with nadnini

I laid there for a few more minutes, then I slipped out of bed and grabbed my clothes so I could shower. I kissed Nandini's head walking out of the room to shower. When I got back she was still sleeping but it was late so I had to wake her up.

I sat beside her running my hand through her hair as she cuddled closer to my chest. I pulled her on top of me making her open her eyes for a second but seeing its me she closed her eyes again.

"Good morning manik"

"Good morning muffin" I said caressing her hair

"This is best morning" she mummbled

"Umm hmm why so"

"Because you are here"

"And you should get up now, its late"

"But we have no where to be" she said

"Well you don't silly but I need to go to my office for a little bit so I need to have you fed and up before I go"

"Can I come with you please, pretty please, I promise no messing around, I will behave" she mummbled resting her chin on my chest looking up at me

Gosh her beautiful eyes, damn it, she can make me say yes to everything.

"Muffin, im not"

"I know its related to your dad and all that but I promise I won't open my mouth and utter crap. I jsut wanna come with you. I can eve wait in the car" she suggested

It was a bullshit suggestion becasue there was no way I was leaving her in the car.

"Please let me come, I don't wanna be a third wheel with cabir and navya. I will even bring a book if you have a lot of work" she siad

Though I don't want her around my dad, I also don't wanna leave her alone here

"Please na" she whined

I leaned down and kissed her nose

"Only if you promise to behave and not run around to explore, we can explore some other day jsut not today okay"
