Chapter 11

Once I saw the sun coming up and it was around 7 I got up and went to shower. Getting ready I grabbed a granola bar from my snack cupboard and headed to class.

'Nandini I don't know how this is going to go' I got a text from manik

'You'll do fine' I replied

'I don't know'

'Manik jsut trust yourself and use those techniques I taught you'

'Ahhh where are you'

'Walking to class'

'What the hell Nandini, I could have driven us'

'Im here manik, and I didn't wanna wake you up so early'

'You and I are talking after this'

'Sure thing'

a few minutes later the class opened and I walked inside sitting down, and manik came in right after, I swear this kid drives fast.

"Why would you leave like that"

"Like what"

"I told you na you will come with me and I will also drop you as well"

well we did have this talk, it was him just saying he will drive me but we still hadn't talked about us being friends yet which is what I have been waiting for

"Han baba I'm sorry, ab focus" I said

"Im scared"

"Just deep breaths and need drink water if you can't think of an answer"

"Nandini"

I grabbed his hand and he looked down at our hands. He intentionally entwined his fingers with mine

"What up" I asked

"I umm"

"We can talk after, remember we don't have bio after cause the class is canceled"

"You have English though" he siad

"You know what I have, how?" I asked

"I just do"

"it's only an hour" I siad

"Put your phones away everyone and all test material away" the teacher said

"All the best my grinch" I said smiling

"Thank you, good luck" he said trying to smile but his nervousness could be seen from his face

I looked at the test and saw it was everything we had reviewed so I knew manik knew the material.

The hour went by super fast and the teacher collected our exams, I looked over at manik whose face was bright red.

"Ill have the scores up by Friday" the teacher said as everyone began leaving

"Breath" I said to manik standing up and caressing his hair

He leaned to my touch putting his head against my stomach.

"I don't think I did good"

"Why not"

"I feel like I messed up so much, and it just"

"Shh it's over and done with, now you don't have to worry plus you can't change anything so lets not worry"

"But"

"You will play Friday's game, don't you worry, it's Nandini'a promise" I said ruffling his hair

"Id love to stay but I have English" I told him

"Ya, sorry" he said getting up

He walked me to my class and I felt giddy inside.
