"I didn't expect for you to come back, especially not by eight."

Blu stood in the shadows, eyes shut, head propped up against the door to regain his composure because he didn't truly feel how high he was until he stood up and started floating.

Honey couldn't stop laughing when she helped him to his car, asking repeatedly if he was sure he could get home safe. It was a miracle that he did. It was another miracle that he walked up to the fourth floor by himself.

The condo smelt like the spongiest, tastiest, sweetest cake which was never a good sign; if Maze was working out, it meant she would eventually find solutions to a problem, but if that same problem caused Maze to start baking, it meant she had zero solutions. And that the problem was a lot bigger than she first thought...

He needed to be gentle with her. He'd ease into questioning about how things went a little later, feel out her mood first.

Blu walked into the kitchen, steadying himself against the counter behind him, taking in Maze's white lace boy shorts under her favorite vintage apron, her hair was still curly and wild. A small row of jewels shimmering under her eyes. "I made your favorite."

Longingly he watched her but it had nothing to do with dessert.

She added homemade cream cheese icing to her layered red velvet cake with a butter knife, leaning low and licking her fingers every few minutes when they got too messy. He bit his bottom lip, realizing he was down bad for her, he couldn't even watch her put icing on a cake without thinking wild thoughts and the spacey feeling in his head wasn't helping either. Neither was her pretty face, neither was the lace.

She was finishing up the front of the cake, covering red in white, bending over ever so slightly, her back  in front of him.

"You're gonna love it. It's so moist." She added. Maze's voice, very alluring, very low, sneaking beyond his inhibitions, getting under his skin. So moist. So moist. So moist. He was going insane.

"And the icing, omg. Literally the best I ever made it, just rich and creamy." She dipped a finger in it before sucking it clean off. "It just melts on your tongue."

Blu couldn't help it, he groaned.

Maze straightened up, inquisitive, completely unaware of how she sounded to his ears. "Did you just moan?" Then she sniffed the air, finally taking a good look at her best friend. "You're high as fuck right now. She smoked you out like that?"

"Yes, my god," he rushed out, attempting to stop the heat of shame from spreading to his face, "it was nothing for her. She just kept hitting the blunt while I was losing my mind." Honey. More conversation about Honey. If he focused on her, he could calm back down, gather his thoughts, get a nice grasp of reality.

"Okay, girl!" Maze said approvingly. "She knew she had to loosen you up...smart. Are you hungry?" She slipped out of her apron and hung it back up, grabbing the sushi from the refrigerator to knock the chill off.

He wished she'd put it back on, the apron, because one minute he was thinking of Honey and the next he was thinking of honey, warming it up and pouring it down Maze's skin so he could lap it right up like the starved man he was. Down her back, between her legs, even her toes were pretty so he wouldn't mind. He'd do whatever.

"Earth to Blu. Are you hungry or not?" She asked, looking concerned.

What the fuck was in that blunt, viagra? He dragged a hand down his face to mute his inner dialogue, send it down to the pits of hell where it came from.

Sheepishly he said "I actually do have the munchies."

"Good. You'll need to put something on your stomach before you get cross-faded."
