Adelena never met me in the parking lot

Adelena never met me in the parking lot.

Saying I'm sad would be an understatement. I was thinking about her all day and I was really looking forward to seeing her.

She invaded my mind during every class. I couldn't pay attention nor think straight.

On top of that, her stupid friend Chloe kept bothering me last period which resulted in 10 minutes lost. Okay, that's mean. Annoying is a better example. Needless to say I don't like her. I rather Adelena be in my classes.

"What's up with you Tate?" I turn around to see August, Adelenas brother walking up to me. Excitement rushes through me, but immediately leaves when I don't see her.

Did I say something wrong?

"Nothing." He nods.

"You still coming over today?" Me and August have become good friends since the business party. And now with us being neighbors plus on the same hockey team, we tend to hang out.

"Yea sure. What time again?"

"4:00."

I hope I see her.

~~~
Once again I'm disappointed. When I ring August door-bell one of my team mates answer the door. I know this is supposed to be a hockey meet up to talk about the team.
But still... I was expecting to see that brown eyed  beauty.
"Damn why did it take you so long Tate? You live right next door."
"I fell asleep." I step inside, closing the door behind me. Almost everyone on the team is there. Everyone good at least. August has a thing with excluding "shit players." His words, not mine.
I sit on the empty side of the couch shortly before August starts speaking about the rival team from Beverly Hills.
I've been here for less than two months and I still don't know the performance of this team. But the way they're so highly spoken of in both our school and California kind of scares me.
I'm very, very competitive. I have only lost one game in my whole entire life. My old hockey team in Ohio was the best in the state. Championship winners. I really hope this team can deliver the same energy or I might lose it.
"We are playing them twice this year, we have to beat them. We need to beat them. I will die if we don't!"
"Die? Don't you think that's a bit dramatic?" I can't help the rapid thump in my chest when I hear her voice. My head slowly lifts before raking over Adelenas presence. I almost choke at the sight.
Black leggings that hug her slim body wonderfully and a black cropped tank top wrapped perfectly around her boobs. It makes it worst that the boys here are gawking at her.
