CHAPTER 4: Breakout from Beyond (PART 2)

Four: Right. I won't let you down. I'll help you leave this place for good and avoid the upcoming corruption.

Leafy: Wait, what corrupt-

Four: Though first, you both need to know a few things about her and me now. How I ended up confiding with her and getting conned instead. I was the biggest fan of BFDI. I would memorize every line and episode of the show and would waste half of my time just to watch the show. One day, when I went to investigate an abandoned city named Yoyle City, I met Umbrella somewhere down the streets. She told me her dream about travelling through other dimensions. She discovered a strange machine inside the Yoyle Factory.

[FLASHBACK WITH UMBRELLA AND FOUR IN YOYLE FACTORY]

Umbrella: Wow! This must be the Interdimensional Machine 3000! Four, we could travel to other dimensions using that machine!

Four: But wait! Can my best friend X come too?

Umbrella: Of course they can! You can invite anyone you want to travel interdimensionally. Though here's the problem... Do you know how electricity works?

Four: Yeah I guess.

Umbrella: Well, I need you to activate the machine by connecting those wires over there and a little bit of coding. Your intellect is the catalyst for this to work.

Four: But, the wires may be high voltage and get me electrocuted! Is it really safe for me to be part of this?

Umbrella: I can't be sure either, Four. I know that this is a huge risk for you. But if we really want to make this project a success, we have to make some sacrifices.

Four proceeded to go by the wires and try to figure how to connect them. The wires looked very big and he knew that one wrong connection would malfunction the machine.

Four: I do think travelling to other dimensions is a great idea. We shared a common goal of going through other universes. Feel how it is to live in that world. Looking back, it was a huge mistake.

Umbrella enters the machine.

Umbrella: Let me know if the machine is online!

Four looked scared that he might get the order of the wiring wrong since most of them have the same colors. Four connects a wire and it indeed electrocutes him.

Four: The electricity going through my skin is really painful. Though my physical form had suffered from the impact, the machine successfully went online. So I started coding some stuff and I went inside with Umbrella, forgetting about X. It teleported us to another dimension... but that dimension had been corrupted. We had to fight off the strange inky monsters that were trying to take us down. We ran back to the machine and went back to Yoyle Factory. She ended up scarred from those creatures from that dimension. Tried to blame it all on me for causing it to happen. This was merely the beginning of our animosity towards each other.

[BACK IN THE PRESENT]

X: WAITWAITWAIT- none of this makes any sense!!! Listen, I do believe that you and Umbrella travelled to another dimension full of monsters. But why would she blame you afterwards? She would never do that!

Four: YOU. Why can't you just listen? I thought you believed in me, I thought we were friends!

Suddenly, Four felt attacked. A bright flash from his body shone through X.

X: What's happening??

Four: I have to go back. The objects from another dimension... They're in danger. It's best that both of you stay behind while I'm looking for them.
