CHAPTER 4: Breakout from Beyond (PART 2)

Four: I suppose you have no idea who Umbrella is?

Four showed a photo of Leafy with an evil expression, holding the Dream Island.

Four: I see... that you have taken something precious away from your friend. Something that she will do to any of her other friends.

X picks up a box that was thrown out by Four.

X: ...No. FOUR, PLEASE STOP!

X throws the box towards Four, breaking a part of his body as blood starts appearing around their body. They turn around and look towards X with a blank but ominous expression.

Four: Someone's a little defensive here. It's a pity. You were my true blue friend.

X: But, I'm not blue-

Four: It looks like some measures have to be taken.

Four tied X up using a cloth coming out from his head. After holding X captive, Four turns back to Leafy.

Four: Now, where was I? I see doubt in your eyes. Was there something you wanted to speak up about?

X: mmmh!

Leafy: I... really don't know if I should-

Four: If you can't trust me, then I guess I can send you back to The Pillary Ruins, but for now... DO YOU WANT TO TALK?

[BACK IN THE PILLARY RUINS]

The contestants are now just going on with their lives, already waiting for 73 hours straight for Four's return. Somewhere far away from the rest of the contestants, there's Gelatin, Lollipop, and Teardrop, discussing something.

Gelatin: It has been 73 hours. X and Leafy haven't returned with Four yet. What should we do then? Maybe make an alliance plan for the next challenge when they finally return to be prepared?

Lollipop: I say that we should. Well, all of us are not sure what the next challenge would be about so... what challenge do you guys think Four would normally give us?

Gelatin: Hmm... maybe...-

In TD's POV, she starts to lose focus on what Gelatin is talking about and focuses instead towards somewhere in the distance. A dark figure, becoming deformed, turns around and looks over to Teardrop with their bright white eyes. Lollipop interrupts TD with her question.

Lollipop: What about you TD? What challenge do you think Four would normally give us?

Teardrop did not respond but instead, started running away, leaving Gelatin and Lollipop confused.

[INSIDE THE RUINED CLASSROOM]

Leafy looks anxious as she looks around her surroundings, all burnt up. Four's vengeful face staring down at her and X being wrapped in cloth. Leafy then finally made a decision.

Leafy: FINE! I'm sick of her being a backstabber!! Look, I just want to know the truth behind this mess. I may not know who Umbrella is, but I don't think she's a good object according to your story. And... I don't really want to be involved in any of these. Then I remembered, Bubble and Firey, they melted into black substances in our very own eyes. I can feel that more is coming... somehow. You seem to know a lot about these so... With the truth... I can finally find my own way out.

Leafy reached out to Four's hand. Four started to become more normal and the cloth around X started to let go of him.

X: (GASP) LEAFY? WHY?

Four: Thank you. It's hard to find people who are willing to stay behind and listen. Sigh... not even my only friend would listen to me.
