CHAPTER 4: Breakout from Beyond (PART 2)

In case of emergency in linked rooms, server shuts down in 15 min

Inkwell closes the book, not understanding what it says inside.

Inkwell: Yeaaaahhh. I'm still confused.

There's an ink-corrupted object behind them but Inkwell is unaware of this although Pickaxe noticed the object behind them.

Back in the temple with the two, they are still looking for Four and were not able to find him. X noticed a door and called Leafy.

X: Hey Leafy! There's a door here. Maybe Four is in here!

Leafy: Yeah, you're right! Let's take a look!

X then opens the mysterious door and upon opening it, the door sends them flying. It then sent them into a mysterious room.

Leafy: OW! Hey, X? Are you okay?

X: Woah, what is this place?

There they found Umbrella. She looked surprised that they managed to find her hiding spot.

Umbrella: Oh... uh... hi. How did you-

Leafy: Oh, hey there Ms. Umbrella! Sorry for intruding but, we were looking for our friend and host Four. Have you seen him anywhere?

Umbrella: Uhm, no. I don't know who you're talking about.

X scanned the place around, finding out that they're inside a ruined classroom.

X: Decrepit... Disaster once struck this place. It's a little creepy, but I think we're on the right track! Now, this next step. Oh boy. It's going to be hard to convince them.

Leafy: I don't see Four here, but good luck with him. He's got... quite a temper.

X: Don't worry about me! I'm his best friend!

X noticed a frame on the floor and looked at it. It's the same Four picture frame, but Pickaxe and Inkwell aren't there anymore. Umbrella saw X looking at the frame and got anxious, trying to tell him to hand it over.

Umbrella: Hey. You, X. That thing shouldn't be in your hands. Hand it over. You don't want to mess with whatever force was contained in that frame.

Suddenly, the frame started to light up. X got surprised and dropped it. There is something trying to get out of the frame, making X and Leafy scared.

Umbrella: Run away. Hide.

The ghost of Four, much larger and an abomination, went out of the frame.

X: Four?!

Leafy: OH NO HE'S MORE VENGEFUL THAN I REMEMBERED!!

Leafy pulled X and ran away while screaming in fear.

Leafy: AAAAAAAAAAAA!!

X: OWOWOWOW!!

Four (to Umbrella): You. You had to turn whatever's left of myself... Into this. What do you have to say for yourself?

X: (hiding inside a box) Oh no.

Umbrella: It had to be done. You're a remnant, a glitch. You're not supposed to exist. You're not saving anyone by holding them hostage. Let them go.

Four: I guess to you, the ends justify the means. Yes, get rid of me, brag about how great you are. The game goes on.
