Juliuz: It's not your fault, okay? I don't blame you for anything, so don't blame yourself.
Emerald: Okay. Thank you. (He gives her a hug.)
Emerald: So... now I've got a question. (They let go.)
Emerald: Can you tell me about Dad now? You said we could talk in the morning, and it's past morning.
Juliuz: S-sure. I can if you want. (Juliuz pulls up a chair.)
Emerald: How did he die exactly? Was he really killed?
Juliuz: He was.
Emerald: By octolings?
Juliuz: Sadly, yes. (Juliuz looks down.)
Emerald: Oh. Why'd they kill him?
Juliuz: Well, Dad and I were both on Octoling territory when you were a baby. We were getting some medicine that you needed. Things went wrong, and he was killed. (She listens intently.)
Emerald: So... he died because of me?
Juliuz: No... no, he didn't. He died FOR you, Em. He did it because he loved you. (Emerald starts to cry, and Juliuz tries to comfort her.)
Emerald: Really?
Juliuz: Yes. He loved you so much. (They talk.)
Emerald: I wish- I wish- (She still cries.)
Emerald: I wish I could've known him! (Emerald falls into Juliuz's arms and hugs him.)
Emerald: *sob* *sob* *sniff* (Juliuz looks down at Emerald solemnly.)
Emerald: Juliuz... *sniffle* thank you.
Juliuz: Huh? (She looks up.)
Emerald: For finally telling me about Dad. And for being here. (She's still teary-eyed, but smiles softly.)
Emerald: I love you.
Juliuz: I love you, too, Little Em. (They hug.)

The Next Day...
(Juliuz glances over at Echo, who's texting with some of the other agents.)
(Emerald notices Juliuz glancing at Echo.)
Emerald: [whispered] You should ask her out sometime. (She leans over and whispers to Juliuz. Juliuz blushes and his eyes go wide.)
Juliuz: Oh, uh, I don't know...
Emerald: [whispered] C'mon, I know you like her. I've seen how you act happier around her, and you look like your eyes could turn into hearts at any moment.
Juliuz: But you-
Emerald: [whispered] Come on, Juliuz. Ask Echo out! (She smirks.)
Juliuz: Okay, I will soon.
Emerald: No, do it now!
Juliuz: Um... (Juliuz shrugs. Kiyoshi comes in to the room, humored by the two.)
Kiyoshi: She said do it now!
Juliuz: Huh?
Emerald: Haha! (Kiyoshi shoves Juliuz over to Echo with telekinesis, blue light around him.)
(Echo and Juliuz catch awkward eye-contact as he stops next to her.)
Echo: Uh, hey.
Juliuz: Hey.--- Um... so... (Echo is less awkward, but Juliuz is more awkward.)
