Part 1 - Welcome to Our World

In the present...

(One of Nariko's labs is empty.)

Sound effect: WHOOSH! (Marie rushes by in the shadows.)

(She jumps behind a pile of boxes.)

Sound effect: Click! (She points her sniper gun, trying to spot any danger.)

Marie: Okay, I think it's safe to say that this lab's been abandoned. I don't see anyone. It doesn't look like Nariko is here, but maybe she brought Agents 3, 4, and 8 here. (She kneels behind the pile of boxes.)

Pearl: But we've already checked most of the labs! I don't think we're gonna find 'em here. (She and Marina are in a separate part of the labs. Pearl speaks through the headphones.)

Callie: Pearl does have a point. Wherever the Agents are, Nariko's probably with them. She wouldn't leave them. (She walks through another part of the labs with a flashlight.)

Marie: Maybe, maybe not. I still have one last area to check. (Marie glances at a door with slime leading to it.)

Pearl: Ugh, can't we just leave already? We've been here for HOURS, and this place is giving me the creeps!

Marina: Yeah. We found lots of experiments that Nariko did on other Octarians, but none of them are alive. It's really creepy! (They speak.)

Marie: Just wait a second. You can at least handle staying in the main area a minute longer. (She talks on headphones.)

(Pearl and Marina stand alone, a little creeped out.)

Marie: [On headphones] Boo.

Pearl and Marina: AAAAAAHHHHH!!! (They jump, comically scared.)

Pearl: [On headphones] Marie! I'm gonna... I'm gonna... Never do that again!

Marie: Oh, I just couldn't resist! (Marie laughs.)

(She opens the door to the lab.)

(Marie holds out her gun as she walks in.)

Marie: Nobody's here. I guess we're done. I'll see you all back at the entrance. (She speaks into her headphones as she lowers her gun. There are a few sea slug bunnies hanging out in this area.)

Marie: Huh? (She turns as she notices a dim, green light.)

Sound effect: CLACK clack (She drops her gun in surprise.)

Marie: W-what? (Marie looks up at the Inktoling Twins, still asleep in the tank of ooze.)

Pearl: Sooo... you just found them here?

Marie: Yep.

Callie: What are they? They look like both of our species, but fused together! (The four look up at the Twins.)

Marina: Aww, and they're twins!

Marie: How do you know?

Marina: They look so much alike! They've got to be twins! (Marina instantly loves them.)

Callie: It says here that Nariko called them the Inktolings. I guess they are a combination of our species. But unlike a lot of Nariko's other experiments, these two... they're alive. (She leans over a computer.)

Pearl: Well, what should we do about them? We can't just leave them here, and they're the only experiment that we've found alive. But they belong to Nariko. Also, they could be some murderous test subjects. (She shrugs.)

(Callie and Marie glance at each other.)

Callie: Let's get 'em out of there. They might have been taken and experimented on like Juliuz was before. If they were, they need to go home. (She speaks, Marie nods.)
