Part 4 - Never Forget

(June's car zooms down a road in the middle of some woods.)

Juliuz: *mutter* *mutter* (Juliuz appears very stressed out and aggravated as he drives and Echo looks down, worried. Kiyoshi plays with Rosie in the back.)

Juliuz: *mutter* *mutter* *mutter*

Echo: So... you got a plan?

Juliuz: [quiet] I'm gonna kill that guy. I don't care if he's a king or not, I'm gonna kill him. (Echo glances over at Juliuz.)

Echo: Juliuz?

Juliuz: Huh?

Echo: I don't know if you were just talking to yourself or if that was your plan, but it's a bad idea either way. (Juliuz realizes Echo is talking to him.)

Juliuz: Sorry. I'm just a little-

Echo: Worried? Yeah, I understand. So, do you have a plan?

Juliuz: No, but I don't know what to plan for exactly. (They talk.)

Juliuz: What if Octavio has Emerald under mind-control like he does to octolings? Or what if he tries to use her as a shield or threatens to kill her? Or what if he's already killed-

Echo: Calm down, he wouldn't do that. (Juliuz starts freaking out, Echo tries to comfort him.)

Juliuz: Are- are you sure?

Echo: I'm positive. I don't think he would take the life of a little kid; even he should know that's especially cruel. We'll save Emerald, I promise. (She puts an arm on his shoulder.)

(His phone lights up and buzzes.)

Echo: Hey, you just got a weird text.

Juliuz: Who's it from?

Echo: It looks like... (She picks the phone up.)

Echo: Oh! Juliuz! It's from Emerald!

Juliuz: What? (She's happy, but Juliuz is a little confused. He gets hopeful, though.)

Echo: She said that she's okay, but Octavio's got her. I'll track where the message was sent from, so we'll have the exact coordinates of where she's being held. We can make it to her!

Juliuz: Really? That's great! Where is she? (He's a bit happy.)

Echo: It looks like she's pretty far into Octo Canyon. I'll tell the others. We may need some help. If we're going that far into Octarian territory, we'll have to face a lot of Octarians. (She speaks.)

Juliuz: Yeah, I guess we will. And we'll probably have to face Octavio if we're going to free Emerald. (He looks a bit nervous now.)

Echo: Hey, is everything okay?

Juliuz: Yeah, it's just... (She glances over at him.)

Juliuz: *sigh* I get the feeling that things are going to get crazy today. If the battle gets rough and it comes down to either letting me or Emerald live, I should let you know that... I'm not going to hesitate to die for her. (He looks straight ahead with a sad expression.)

Echo: I understand. But please make sure that doesn't happen.

Juliuz: I'll... try my best. (They talk.)

(Everyone goes back to being quiet.)

Later...

(June's car arrives at the Octarian facility, but stays hidden.)

Juliuz: Is this the place?

Echo: Yep. Your sister's in there somewhere. (They both look up from inside the car, hidden.)
