3rd Point of View

Part 9

She didn't know why but she felt the need to explain. Lisa though just smiled. "I like it! It's cozy! Like Rosie's bedroom. Erm..but may I have a glass of water please?"

Niki nodded and went to the kitchen to get her a drink. When she came back, she found Lisa talking on her phone.

"Uh huh. You do that." That's the last word Lisa said before she hangs up.

Niki raised her eyebrows questioningly.

"The members are looking for me."

"Oh so you need to go?"

Lisa shook her head. "I told them I'm hanging out with you today. They'll just send someone to fetch me later."

"Okay. But why do they need to fetch you?"

Lisa shrugged her shoulders. "Hey, what movie are we watching?"

"Oh I have Disney's one."

"Yeay! I like Disney movie!'' Lisa jumped onto the old couch situated in the middle of the dorm and Niki winced when she heard the spring creaked loudly.

"Okay then here...just choose which movie you want to watch while I prepare our snacks." She gave Lisa her Macbook.

She came back with a bowl of popcorn and a bag of chocolates. She knew it was the right decision when Lisa's eyes widened in excitement when she saw the bag.

After several minutes of watching the movie in silence, Niki finally asked what's been on her mind since this morning.

"Lisa, why are you really here? And don't think I didn't notice you didn't answer my question earlier."

Lisa looked at her sideways. "I just want to be away for a while."

"Away from where? The uni?"

"The members.." Lisa whispered softly.

Niki nodded her head. "Okay. Thank you for telling me."

"That's it? You don't want to ask me more questions?"

Niki just shrugged her shoulders. "I do. But if that was the only part you are willing to share, I can't force you. Besides, that's your reason, who am I to say differently?"

Lisa nudged the smaller girl. "Thanks."

They continued watching the movie in silence. She watched from the corner of her eyes how Lisa kept looking down at her phone distractedly. Someone has been texting and calling her non-stop throughout the movie but Lisa kept ignoring it.

The movie was already showing its end credits when there was a knock on the door.

"They're here." Lisa just said.

Niki, not understanding what she meant just opened the door only to find three pairs of eyes looking at her. One pair specifically just gave her a hard glare. Typical Jennie behavior.

"Hey Niki..is Lisa here?" Rose asked directly.

"I erm she uh.."

"Don't bother to lie. We know she's here." Jisoo added.

"Oh okay so you guys want to.."

Before she could finish her sentence, Jennie just stormed into the dorm and stood with her arm crossed in front of Lisa. She watched the other two follow Jennie but stood behind the couch instead. She closed the door and just stood there staring at them ackwardly.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Lisa looks up to Jennie and gestures towards the laptop, popcorn bowl and the chocolate wrapper on the coffee table. "Guess."
