Umuulan. Ang lakas ng ulan. Isama mo pa ang sunud-sunod na pagkulog mula sa madilim na kalangitan. Alas nuebe na yata nang makatanggap ako ng tawag mula sa isang hindi kilalang tao. Hindi kasi stored ang kanyang numero sa aking telepono. "Sino 'to?" Isang tawa mula sa isang lalake ang aking narinig. Wait, parang narinig ko na yang tawa na 'yan. Ah, hindi naman siguro. I mean, why would he do that? "If this is a prank call, sorry, I'm not in the mood."

"I know you want to escape with Victoria," Hala, hindi ah. I don't want to escape. Victoria doesn't escape from her enemies, she faces them. I will stand by her side whatever happens. "Pwede niyo na pong sabihin dito, sir. Hindi ko po kasing pwedeng-"

"Mas maganda kasi kung personal, Iris. Mas maipapaliwanag ko ng mabuti."

I sighed, looking at my girlfriend. "What's your location, sir?" Sinabi niya sa akin ang lugar kung nasaan siya. "Right away, sir." Trying to be the hero as promised, I've decided to meet with this man who wants us to have our freedom. He says he's going to help us get it without shedding blood. I know Tori instructed me not to trust anybody, but I'd like to give it a shot. I will take this chance because I don't want to lose her. I'll do anything for her safety. She's my life; I need to protect her like she always did for me.

"Come alone. We don't want the enemy to think we're up to something," Pahabol niya. "Don't worry, dear, I've got you covered. You're safe. You can trust me."

"I do, sir. Always have."

"Good to know."

I ended the call and walked straight to the bathroom. I showered for a few minutes, thinking if I would go out or not. I have a bad feeling about this, but I have to do it for Tori and for all of us. "O, sa'n ka pupunta?" Tanong ni Red, nang makita niya akong nag-aayos ng aking mga gamit. "What's with all the guns? You're not going to kill someone, are you?"

"Not exactly."

"Then, what?" Tinulungan akong mamili ni Red ng baril na aking gagamitin. Siya pa ang bumuo nito. She knows how to handle guns because she's Tori's favorite student. "Does Victoria know about this little trip of yours?" Umiling ako, habang tinititigan ang gatilyo ng aking baril. "Iris, sigurado ka ba sa gagawin mo? Kung papayagan kitang lumabas, papatayin ako ni Tori. She won't like you leaving without her. You know how impatient that person is."

"But I trust this guy. I've seen him defend me so many times. He's a good man."

"Let me come with you. Whether I like it or not, I'm part of the mafia now. Besides, you're my friend." Erin came inside the room and hugged Red from behind. She understood the risks. "I want to see if this person can be trusted or not, because, with that look on your face, I know you're doubting, too." Nabasa niya ako. Ang galing talaga. Akala ko hindi niya makikitang nagdadalawang isip ako. "Iris, make up your mind. Now."
