Part 4 - Never Forget

Echo: Lots of Octarians are cloned and Octobosses are built here, like the Octomaw we faced a few months ago. It's been running for a long time, I bet it's even still been in use while Octavio's been away. (She speaks.)

Echo: There will be lots of guards here, and a lot of elite octolings, as well. Since the other agents aren't here yet, we should probably just wait here.

Juliuz: [quiet] I can't. (He starts to leave.)

Echo: Huh? Wait, what are you doing?

Juliuz: I can't just wait for the other agents while Emerald is in danger. I have to go in now. (He leaves the car.)

Echo: Wait, Juliuz! You can't! Uhh... Rosie, Kiyoshi, you two stay in the car. We'll leave it running for you. Juliuz, you can't go in there alone.

Juliuz: I'll sneak in. If I'm quiet enough, maybe I'll be able to rescue Emerald without anyone ever knowing that I was here. (They both get out.)

Echo: No, Juliuz, please listen. We WILL save Emerald, but you can't just go in there by yourself. I know you can fight well, but there will be too many guards. You'll be killed for sure.

Juliuz: For Emerald, I'm willing to do this. (Echo holds one of his hands and puts another hand on his face.)

(Echo looks down sadly.)

Echo: I know that you're willing, but how do you think Emerald would feel... if she lost you? She's already lost her father, and if you were killed, it would break her little hearts. She needs you, Juliuz. Not just for her rescue. She looks up to you. Please, don't do this alone. For her. Please... (She looks concerned.)

Juliuz: *sigh* I know, but I still feel like I need to go in now, before anything bad happens to her.

Echo: Then... at least let me come with you. I at least somewhat know my way around this place. (She smiles.)

Juliuz: Really?

Echo: Of course! We'll do this together! (They talk.)

Juliuz: T-thank you, Evelyn. (He smiles.)

(They're both silent for a second, each a little shocked.)

Echo: Did you... just call me Evelyn?

Juliuz: I-I'm sorry, it just slipped out. I know that you prefer- (She's amused. He's panicking.)

Echo: I like it. You can call me Evelyn if you want. You say it nicely. (She steps closer, smiling.)

Juliuz: You, uh, you think so?

Echo: I know so. (They grab hands lightly.)

(They come close together, as if they're about to kiss.)

(Kiyoshi and Rosie watch from the car in background frames. They're both a little curious.)

Echo: *sigh* (She looks down.)

Echo: We... we should probably go save your sister now.

Juliuz: Y-yeah. Good idea. (They both pull back.)

(They start sneaking towards the facility.)

(They stop near a guarded door.)

Juliuz: [whispered] We're gonna need some weapons.

Echo: [whispered] And some inktanks. I know where we can get some, but we'll have to get inside first. That'll be the hard part. They know that we're coming, so they're on the lookout for us. (They whisper to each other.)

Kiyoshi: [quiet] Hello.

Echo and Juliuz: Gah! (Kiyoshi appears with some weapons and ammo, startling the two.)
