PART FOUR

"You look cute, and casual like he said." She says as I spin around, showing off the outfit. I put on my necklaces and a few rings. "What time is it?" I ask her as I look around for my bag. "7:57." She says, "Shit, he's about to be here." I panic, "You look good Lani, don't worry." she smiles, I hear my phone go off, a text from him saying he's here. "I gotta go he's here, I love you." I say, "Love you more, have fun and wear protection." She winks and ends the call. I laugh and walk downstairs.

Before I can walk out the door, Vinnie stops me. He's with his mom and Reggie sitting on the couch. "Where you going?" He asks, can he never leave me alone? "I have a date." I reply and Maria's face lights up, "Who's the boy?" She smiles, "His names Colby, I'll tell you more later but he's here so I should get going." I explain and she nods, "Have fun, don't stay out too late!" she says, "Bye Maria, Bye Reggie!" I wave before walking out the door.

I walk out of the house and towards his car, "Hey pizza boy." I smile getting in the car, "Hey, these are for you." He hands me a bouquet of roses, "Aw thank you." I can feel my cheeks get warm, "So where we going?" I ask, "Sushi restaurant, I remember you saying how much you loved sushi." He smiles, I appreciate that he payed attention to detail; even though I said that like yesterday.

The car ride to the restaurant is nice, we listen to music and talk about random things. He's really sweet, I really didn't expect for him to give me flowers and everything. When we get to the restaurant it isn't super fancy but more so cozy, and I love that. We sit at our table and order drinks.

"I'm glad we were finally able to go out together." He smiles, "Me too, you need to stop being so busy." I laugh and take a sip of my drink, "I'm surprised you even wanted to go out with me, I'm just a pizza deliverer and you live in that huge house. You could find much better." He laughs and I shake my head, "I'm just staying there over the summer, plus most rich guys are douchebags." I joke.

"Well that guy just staring over at me also didn't look to friendly, I thought he was your boyfriend so I was too scared to say anything." He says and my smile drops, Vinnie. "Oh god no, that's Vinnie. He's my mom's best friends son whose house I'm staying at so I'm forced to live with him, we practically hate each other." I explain. "Well good to know I don't have any competition." He laughs and my smile reappears on my face.

The rest of the time spent at the restaurant is amazing, us subtly flirting back and forth and every once in a while one of us getting nervous and looking down at our laps trying to hide our faces.

After we leave the restaurant it's around 9:30 and it's time he takes me home. I am a little disappointed that we are getting separated so soon but he has work tomorrow so I can't keep him forever.

"We should do this again soon." He says as he parks in my driveway, "Definitely." I smile. We make eye contact and our faces slowly inch closer to each others, our lips brush against each others and I close the gap between us. He put's my hair behind my ear and I grab his cheek as the kiss grows with more passion.

Before anything else can happen, I hear a knock on the window on my side causing me to let out a scream; who the fuck?

Vinnie, of course it's Vinnie!

"I should go." I sigh looking over to Colby, "Have a goodnight Leilani." He smiles and I wipe the smeared lipstick off his lips, "Bye pizza boy." I kiss his cheek and get out of the car. I look at Vinnie and angrily walk up to the front door.

"Why did you do that Vinnie?" I whine and he shrugs, "You're just a dick." I scoff and open the front door, slamming it before he can get inside. I flip him off through the window and he just laughs causing me to roll my eyes. Once he gets inside, he locks the door behind him. "Stop being so dramatic." He groans and I look back at him.
