Leora sat in her seat, still deprived of days of sleep, finishing another batch of papers as her mind just kept on repeating the recent events.

'Never thought the first time I feel emotional would be the time I see my friend alive'

Although it had been years since Jason was announced as legally dead, the effects it had on Leora's mind were never gone. In a way, Jason wasn't the only one who died that day.

'I know why I'm feeling this.....emotion, but how the heck am I supposed to get rid of it?' Leora though, some tears slipping from her control but never dropped on her papers

'* shakes head * Emotions aren't welcome when giving a final verdict.'

Leora kept working, not touching her water bottle throughout the time. Minutes turned to hours as she still stayed in her place, never moving away unless she had to. The bags under her eyes just darkened slightly as she still kept working until...

KNOCK KNOCK

Leora dropped her pen and quickly looked at the clock to see it had already become morning and she never got an hour of sleep.

"YEAH?" Leora said, her voice clear as day

"Alfred is calling you for dinner, younger Fermont"

"Right... I'll be there" Leora took a glance at the papers she finished and papers she had yet to complete. With a sigh, she got ready and went to the dining room to see everyone stiff, almost like they were sitting with blocks of wood rather than people

"This is awkward" Leora muttered under her breath, which was heard by everyone with the deafening silence present here

"So umm about-"

"If this is a conversation about yesterday, then I don't want to talk about it" Amara quickly said, shoving some food into her mouth as she did so

"I would suggest sorting out this problem before it ends up taking a bigger toll on our mind" Leora said, sitting in her seat

"And who asked?" Amara snapped

"* sigh * right..." Leora just sat in her seat, not eating her food, just playing with it. It wasn't long before her phone got a message, causing her to set her spoon down and check her phone to see the commissioner had sent it

"* squints eyes * I won't be available, apparently, I'm taking another different case. If anyone needs me, just give me a message" Leora quickly said with a monotone voice, getting up from her seat and putting on her coat to leave

Alfred sighed as he had to take another plate of unfinished food from her.

"Dick? When was the last time Leora ate?" Tim asked, worried for the young lawyer

"I think it was last week. I doubt she even got any sleep from last night" Dick said, worrying about Leora's destructive behaviours while Amara just listened

"She does that?" Jason asked, getting more worried about what he might have done

"* nods * This is the first time I've ever seen her cry. But I do know whenever she feels-in her words 'too happy' or 'too sad'- she always ends up skipping on something. Last time it was sleep, now it might even be worse" Dick explained, causing many to wear worried faces

"You don't even know the end of it" Amara mutters, causing everyone to look at her

"What do you mean?" Stephanie asked

"* shakes head * I mean that the last time I saw her being 'too sad', she nearly ended up chopping her hand while cutting some onions" Amara said

"Should we make sure she is alright?" Dick asked, now already worrying on what might happen now
