April x Donnie - oneshots Vol.1

As soon as Donnie held April's thigh her face caught fire, obviously he only touched her because of the fear of her falling, but the fact is that she didn't mind that.

"Ready to lose, April?" Mikey asked with a smirk on his face

"AH but I won't lose. What will happen is that we will defeat you and we will rub your faces in the wet sand." She said with a smile.

As soon as the fight started and April started to get the upper hand, Leo smirked and whispered to Donnie.

"Wow... you got your crush all over you... good job Dee..."

Donatello turned extremely red.

"Be quiet 'Nardo, I'll kill you if you keep this up..."

"Oh but you can't deny that she is... you know..." Leon started with a wide smile "You know... I think I'll tell her."

"Why did I tell you this?" He said irritably to his twin.

Once the conversation ended, Mikey fell pulling Leo along in the process, just as April and Donnie started celebrating.

April hugged the Soft-Shell tightly, the two stayed there, hugging each other in the middle of the water, the soft breeze hit April's hair and Donnie's mask tail swinging them slowly. The two forgot about the others watching them.

The beautiful moment was interrupted by a wave, which hit the two. Donnie tried to hold April's hand, but he couldn't and he lost April in the wave.

As soon as he reached the beach pushed onto the wet shore, Donnie coughed up the water he had swallowed. April wasn't next to him, Donnie's heart began to thump against his chest. He tried to go into the water again but Raph pulled him and held him like a hug.

"April!" He yelled desperately "April is still there!" He struggled to get out of that "hug" but Raph held him tighter.

"Donnie just listen..." He said to the Soft-Shell

The desperation that Donnie felt made him start thinking about the worst, what if April was drowning at that very moment.

 "Raphael April can die if no one gets in there!"

As soon as Raph heard Donnie's pleas he released him and pointed to Mikey and Leo who were beside a bewildered April.

He ran to the girl, Donnie bent down and stood beside her. Mikey and Leo walked away, April looked at Donnie, his face outlined a worried look, which made April's heart feel tight.

"April! April are you okay?" He asked looking into her face."Better now..." she said smiling shyly.

"Come on... it's not good for you to be in the sand, you don't want to be full of sand, do you?" Said Donnie scratching the back of his head extending his hand to the brunette.

April smiled accepting the help to get up, but Donnie ended up pulling the girl too hard and what happened was that April's face found his chest.

"AAAh! Sorry Dee!" April said pulling away from him but Donatello grabbed her hand.

Mickey, who had already realized as well as Leo what was happening, pulled the two brothers away. Sunset was starting, the late afternoon light made the two forget what they were going to talk about.

Donnie didn't let go of her hand, her eyes seemed dilated as she looked at him, he lifted his hand and placed it on her cheek.

"I thought I lost you..." Donnie said as April leaned into his touch.

"ooowww Dee, you'll never lose me...I can swim." She said jokingly.

He gave a light chuckle, cupping her face and he moved closer to her. Donnie kissed her, April didn't resist, in fact she returned the kiss.
When they broke apart, Donnie smiled, and April still had her hands on his shoulders. The two stayed there, in the sunset, in an embrace. April was happy, what a perfect moment."April?"

"Yea?"

"I really like you."

"Me too, how about we move on to the next step in our friendship?" April asked still hugging Donnie.

"You...II...Us..." He turned very red."Dee..." she stopped and broke away "Donatello, do you want to be my boyfriend?" She asked kneeling down, waiting for the eager answer.

He looked at her, face flushed, heart pounding against his ribcage, and his breathing hitched. April started to get nervous. Did he not like her? Were they just friends?

"Yea!" He finally managed to say " Oh my banana pancake! It's really happening! Yes of course!"

He kissed her, the two laughed, and walked along the beach. As soon as it started to get cold Donnie forced April to put it on, which she protested.

"Look at the lovebirds!" Leo said as soon as the new couple got close to the group, the two were holding hands.

April rolled her eyes as Donnie stuck her tongue out at her twin brother.

the two were very happy because of their relationship, Leo was jealous, Raph and Mikey were happy for their brother.
