As the night deepened, the surrounding became darker and darker until it was completely pitch black.

The wind gradually picked up causing an eerie whistling sound through the gap in the window making a certain scaredy cat even more wide awake.

Liu Xun had his eyes tightly shut, with hands folded on top of his chest as he lay on his back, not daring to move even a single bit. It was as if he got cast into acting as a corpse who was laid inside a coffin…

Even though it was uncomfortable as hell for him, Liu Xun did not change his posture.

He was afraid that as he moved around he would touch something that had no human temperature…

At this time, he hated how sensitive his five senses were to hear even the slightest movement, causing his heart to almost jump to his throat whenever he heard something suddenly move.

However, what Liu Xun did not know was that other than him the rest who could cultivate were even more sensitive than him, especially Wan Yu who was the first to detect that something was unusual.

Wan Yu unhurriedly opened his eyes before lightly glancing at the person beside him who was not asleep yet.

Unconsciously, Wan Yu gave a helpless sigh at the sight of him.

To avoid startling the other party, Wan Yu swiftly struck the other’s sleeping acupuncture before slowly rising from the bed.

Ji Yan, who was meditating, immediately opened his eyes the moment he heard some movement from the bed.

Seeing his Wan Shixiong suddenly woke up in the middle of the night, he couldn’t help but bluntly ask,’’ Wan Shixiong, you want to go the bathroom?’’

Hearing this nonsense, Wan Yu couldn’t help but stare coldly at Ji  Yan, giving him a ridiculous look.

As a cultivator, those types of things were not a bother for them anymore so for a moment there Wan Yu felt extremely ridiculous hearing it from this fool.

However, it was true that to others he was a mere mortal so Ji Yan’s question was not silly at all, therefore, Wan Yu simply hummed in agreement as he still needed an excuse to go out anyway.

Hearing an affirmative answer, before his brain could even react, Ji Yan immediately blurted out,’’ Do you need me to accompany you?’’

Almost immediately, Ji Yan regretted asking this question as the other party looked as if he would kill him in the next second to which he quickly shut his mouth to avoid any mishap.

On the other hand, Wan Yu no longer wanted to bother with his nonsense anymore so he icily stated,’’ Look after Xiao Xu and don’t step out of this room. I will be back soon.’’

After saying this, Wan Yu unhurriedly made his way out of the inn after putting down the enchantment enveloping the entire building in case something happened while he was away.

Only after Wan Yu walked out of the room did Ji Yan snap back to his senses and realize that he shouldn't let the other person go alone.

He didn’t know why but Wan Yu’s momentum was so strong that he did not dare to disobey him.

Well, there was still Han Shixiong outside so things should be okay.

Unbeknownst to him, Wan Yu avoided Han Zheng's eyes and at this moment he was no longer near the vicinity of the inn instead, he was standing at a hilltop.

During the daytime, this place looked so desolate with a 50 ft tall weeping willow tree softly swaying due to the wind. The leaves were sparkling yellow as beautiful as gold upon being reflected by the sunlight, however, at this moment, they were dark scarlet.
