Part 1 - Welcome to Our World

Octavio: I see Nariko's experiments are finally awake... and in the wrong hands. (Callie approaches.)

Callie: No. They'll be safer with us. Just please don't talk to them, Octavio. They don't belong to you. Come on, you two. (She tries to get the twins to leave.)

Octavio: They don't belong to me? Agent 1, Callie, who do you think gave Nariko the ability to create them? Where do you think she got the DNA of an octoling from? Who do you think retrieved the DNA of an inkling for her?

Callie: You did? (They talk.)

Octavio: That's right. You can even look at their shoulders and see that they belong to me!

Callie: Huh? (She notices marks on their shoulders. Kiku has EX-810 and Kiyoshi has EX-811 written on their shoulders, as well as versions in Octarian.)

Callie: Yeah, whatever. Get away from him, you two. Octavio's not a good guy. (She ushers them away.)

Octavio: They'll come to me sooner or later, Callie! You know they will when they realize that they need me! I mean, come on, you know from experience that I'm not lying about this! (She looks really on edge and aggravated as she leads the twins away)

Callie: You... shut... UP! (She whirls around and takes her roller off her back, pointing it at him.)

Callie: I didn't want to give in to you back then, and you know it!

Octavio: Haha, maybe not. But the twins are different. Just because you took them out of the labs, that doesn't mean you can keep them all to yourself. They've got their own free will, and if they want to help me, then you gotta let them. (Callie gets closer to Octavio.)

Captain: That's quite enough, Octavio.

Callie: *huff* (The captain approaches. Callie turns away)

Callie: Okay, sorry about that, you two. He just said some things he shouldn't have said. We should get both of you to your new homes now. (She brings both of them back to the group.)

Juliuz: I agree. Kiyoshi, you're going to love the city! Echo and I will show you around. (He talks.)

Juliuz: We'll see you later! And don't worry, we'll keep in touch with you guys about Kiyoshi! (Juliuz, Echo, and Kiyoshi leave. Kiku, Callie, and Marie wave.)

Juliuz: Welcome to Inkopolis Square! Teens like us will typically spend lots of time here having fun! (Kiyoshi looks up in surprise as the three reenter the city.)

Echo: Oh, hey, while we're here, we should probably get some clothes for him. What do you think, Kiyoshi?

Kiyoshi: Mm! (Kiyoshi looks happy.)

(The three go around stores and get lunch together. Kiyoshi gets a few new outfits)

(Later, Juliuz and Echo bring Kiyoshi to their apartment building.)

Juliuz: Well, that was a nice outing for a while. We live here, Kiyoshi. It might be tight for the time, but we can make it work. (Juliuz opens the door to his apartment.)

Juliuz: Kiyoshi? (He turns to see that Kiyoshi isn't there.)

Juliuz: *sigh* Not again.

Echo: Don't worry, he's just over there! (Juliuz looks down in frustration. Echo points.)

Echo: It's okay, Kiyoshi! You're safe here! (Kiyoshi is hiding shyly behind a wall, hugging onto his sea bunny slug.)

(Kiyoshi shyly walks out from his hiding spot.)

Juliuz: You okay, kid? I know this is all really weird, so we just want to make sure that all of this is okay to you.

Kiyoshi: Mm! (Kiyoshi looks a bit more confident.)
