Part 1 - Welcome to Our World

Marie:! Wait, kid, I'm not- (Marie is too stunned to move Kiku's hands from her face.)

Callie: *gasp* That's the first time she's said anything! And it was SO cute!

Echo: I think she likes her name, and I think she likes you, MOMRIE! (Kiku lets go, but Marie is still surprised.)

Marie: She doesn't know anything. She started her life just a few hours ago. She just said my name wrong, that's all. (Her face turns red as she turns away.)

Captain: Oho! Squiddo, I think Echo may be right. Kiku does seem to like you.

Marie: But why?

Captain: I don't know. But maybe it'll be best for her if you take care of her. At least until she knows how to enter society. (Marie faces away from her grandfather.)

Marie: Well, maybe I could try to take care of her. But Callie would have to help! [Thought] Wait, what? I can't deal with kids! Or... kid-like teens that have never seen the sun until today. [Spoken] But, uh, I don't know if we could handle BOTH twins at the same time. (She speaks.)

Callie: Of course!

Captain: Do any of you have the room for Kiyoshi? I know that most of you live in apartments, but I still hope that one of you can help Kiyoshi. (Everyone thinks.)

Brooke: We literally have no room. We've got a small apartment.

Coral: But it would've been great to bring Kiyoshi in! (They talk.)

Marina: I mean, I have room, but I'm just not sure if I can do this right now. (Marina looks down awkwardly.)

Pearl: You guys probably don't want me to raise the kid, do ya?

Everyone: NO! (Pearl shrugs.)

Juliuz: Hmm... (He looks down in deep thought, Echo looks at him and grabs onto his hand.)

(Echo nods.)

(Juliuz smiles.)

Juliuz: We'll take in Kiyoshi! Even if we don't have the room right now, we'll make room for him! And we'll make sure he's safe. (They're happy.)

(Kiyoshi smiles.)

Captain: Thank you. I have no doubt that things will work out just fine. (He speaks.)

Juliuz: Hey, Kiyoshi. I'm Juliuz, and this is Echo. Would you like to stay with us for a while? (Juliuz speaks to Kiyoshi and kneels down. Echo stands behind Juliuz.)

Kiyoshi: [quiet] Mm-hmm. (He nods.)

Juliuz: Great! So, it looks like we're all done here! (No one's looking at Kiku and Kiyoshi for the moment. Kiku looks behind her with surprise. The twins leave.)

Juliuz: We should probably get Kiyoshi to the apartment so that he can get used to it and- what? (Juliuz doesn't notice that the twins are gone, but Echo does. She taps him on the shoulder.)

Juliuz:? (Echo points and Juliuz notices that the twins are gone.)

Juliuz: Wait, how did we not notice them leaving? Was I the only one that didn't notice?

Marie: Nope. I told you, they're already good at vanishing.

Callie:! (The twins have gone further down the Canyon, to where Octavio is kept. Callie notices and is alarmed.)

Callie: Kiku! Kiyoshi! Come back! (She runs after the twins.)

Callie: Kiku! Kiyoshi!

Octavio: Hm? (The twins are next to Octavio, he turns to notice them. Kiku has her hands up against the glass, a bit curious. Kiyoshi is behind her, a little scared of Octavio.)
