Enter the Inktoling Twins (A Splatoon Script)

Part 1 - Welcome to Our World

Both: Turf war! (They're pumped up.)

Sound effect: Buzzzzz... Buzzzzz...

Echo: You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this! I've been- (She eagerly speaks to Juliuz, but her phone starts buzzing in her pocket.)

Echo: Oh, sorry about that, it's just- It's Marina.

Juliuz: Yeah, I'm getting the same thing.

Echo: You don't think that means-

Juliuz: Probably. (They both take out their phones.)

Echo: Hey, Reena. What's up?

Marina: [on phone] Hey guys. Some of the agents and I were in an abandoned lab that Nariko used to work in. We found something.

Juliuz: Did you find Agents 3, 4, and 8?

Marina: [on phone] Well, no. But we found something else, and I can't really explain it properly over the phone. You should get to Octo Canyon ASAP. The rest of us will be waiting.

Echo: We'll be there. (They're both a little confused.)

Juliuz: Of course something had to come up now.

Echo: It's fine! We can always go to have fun another time! We should get going. The agents need us! (They hang up their phones. Juliuz looks a bit disappointed, but Echo smiles.)

(Juliuz and Echo change into their agent gear and leave to join the other agents.)

(They jump down the grate to the Canyon.)

Juliuz: I hope this is good! (The two pop up in the Canyon.)

Echo: I'm sure it will be! And if it's not, we can always go back and- (They walk closer to the cabin.)

Juliuz and Echo:?! (They stop, surprised to see the twins.)

Marina: Oh, hey, you made it! (Marina stands up from the group of agents and waves. The twins turn around to face Juliuz and Echo.)

Juliuz: W- wha- wha- w- what? Am I seeing things?

Echo: It's not just you. (They come close to the twins.)

Marie: You're not seeing things. Juliuz, Echo- meet the Inktoling Twins. We found them in one of Nariko's old labs. (Marie stands behind the twins.)

Echo: They're inklings... and octolings!

Juliuz: Do they have a home? (They talk.)

Callie: No. They don't have names, either. Nariko's kept them in their labs for their whole lives! They haven't opened their eyes until today! And they still haven't said a word.

Marie: [muttered] Yet they already seem to know how to vanish like ghosts. (They talk.)

Echo: Aww, poor things! We'd better give you names right now! [muttered] Um, I don't know any good names. (She thinks.)

Coral: Well, this one looks like a... Zuzu? Gigi? Kiki? Oh, I know! Kiku! And we can give her brother a matching name! Like~ Kingston? Kidd?

Juliuz: How 'bout... Kiyoshi? (They talk. Juliuz opens a book titled "Names that start with 'Ki'" from seemingly nowhere.)

Brooke: Hey, that's a pretty good name. (She talks.)

Marie: What do you two think? Kiku and Kiyoshi? (Marie leans down a bit since the twins are still sitting. Kiku puts her sea slug bunny in her lap.)

(Kiku reaches up and puts her hands on Marie's face.)

Kiku: M- M- Mmo- Momrie! (Kiku looks joyful as she holds her hands up.)
