Enter the Inktoling Twins (A Splatoon Script)

Part 1 - Welcome to Our World

Callie: We'll be fine! I mean, they're just two innocent kids. We got this! (They talk as they walk out of the abandoned labs.)

Pearl: Yo, twins! Are ya coming? (The twins stop once they come to the door leading to the outdoors.)

(Kiku rubs her eyes and Kiyoshi shields his eyes from the sun.)

Callie: Oh, this would be their first time ever coming outside. I guess that also means this is their first time seeing the sun. (She turns.)

Callie: Come on, it's okay. I know that this must be strange, but it's safe. We've just got to go. (She tries to get the twins to follow them.)

Marie: Hey, what are you doing?

Marina: Calling the new agents. They'll definitely want to see this. (They talk.)

Rosie: First day of school! First day of school! First day of schoooool! (Rosie hops around the living space of Juliuz's apartment with a backpack on.)

Echo: Whoa! Calm down there, Rosie Posie.

Rosie: But it's the first day of school! And I get to go to an Inkopolis school! I'm so excited! (Echo comes in and Rosie runs in circles around her.)

Emerald: Yeah, the schools in Inkopolis are pretty cool. Just wait until you're old enough for Inkblot Art Academy, you'll love it there! (She sits at an island as she's texting a friend, mostly in a uniform for school, but the tie that goes on the uniform is draped on the chair behind her.)

Juliuz: Yeah, it has a lot of neat classes you can take there. But you two need to hurry, the bus will be here soon for both of you. (He walks in.)

Emerald: Okay! I'm ready! And Rosie looks ready! C'mon, Rosie! (She gets out of her chair.)

Juliuz: Ah ah ah, you need to get your full uniform on, Emerald. You didn't put on the tie.

Emerald: But-

Juliuz: Come on, you gotta put it on. I'll help you out with it.

Emerald: *Groan* (He stops her and holds her tie that she left. She's annoyed.)

Emerald: I don't even wanna wear the stupid tie!

Juliuz: I know. When I had to wear it, I hated it, too. But it's a part of the school uniform. (Juliuz helps Emerald tie the tie on her school uniform.)

Echo: They have to wear ties? On their school uniform?

Juliuz: Yeah. It's kinda stupid. (Echo talks.)

Juliuz: Even Emerald knows it!

Echo: Oh! Hahaha! (Emerald is very grumpy, which humors Juliuz and Echo)

Emerald: Why doesn't Rosie have to wear one?

Juliuz: Because Rosie's still in preschool! She doesn't have a uniform. Now, come on. You were excited for school just a second ago. Don't let this little tie ruin all that. (Emerald crosses her arms.)

Emerald: Okay. I won't. (She smiles again.)

Juliuz: Good! Now, remember, Echo and I will pick you up from school today, so don't ride the bus home.

Emerald: Alright. Just don't be late! (Emerald smiles a little more as Juliuz hands Emerald her backpack and they leave.)

(Rosie and Emerald both get on a bus and leave for school. Juliuz and Echo wave goodbye to them.)

Juliuz: Well, now that they're gone, are you ready for some fun?

Echo: You kidding, Juliuz? I've been waiting all weekend for this! (They smile at each other.)
