Chapter 41

"You're leaving when I'm waking up, Red ?" I did the quickest 180° I could when I heard his voice, I didn't believe it at first. "I've got to be dreaming." I said, even if I knew it wasn't a dream. "So it means that you dream of me ? I'm flattered." He said, laughing a little, it was cut short as he coughed a little after. My stunned psyche was working  again normally, so when I saw his E/C eyes looking tenderly at me, I couldn't help but to rush at his side. "Y/N !" And I yelled too. I instantly hugged him, making sure that my weight wasn't on his body. "I missed you !" I said, this time, letting out tears of happiness. "I didn't know what to do ! I was lost without you !" I said, while sobbing. I couldn't help to kiss him, and so I did. He kissed back directly as he put his hands on my back. "I missed you too Red." He said, smiling at me. I smiled as I hugged him once again. I couldn't believe it. The time passed a little, and we ended the hug as we heard the door being opened. Revealing my family. They all looked at Y/N, stunned too. "Am I that stunning ?" Y/N asked jokingly, even after that event, he still managed to make me laugh. "Indeed." I agreed. Soon enough, everyone got cleansed, and they all yelled his name.

"Wow chill there." Y/N scoffed as Frisk launched herself on his bed, hugging him, I smiled with the view. "You're alive !" Frisk said, crying tears of happiness too. "Of course I am." He said, hugging her back, as much as I wanted to ask him about the details of what happened for him, I decided that my curiosity will not be satiated. "Y/N, please if you can, come downstairs, you probably need to eat after all." Mom kindly said, which made Y/N smile. "If that's one of your delicious meal, don't mind if I take the plate with the food." He said, making everyone laugh a little. 

Y/N's POV

Fucking hell, it was a torture to move one bit of my being. I got up and as soon as my body was fully standing, I could feel every fiber of my muscle being teared apart. Not going to be a drama queen, but I've had better waking up. Chara seemed to notice my pain. "Could you help me a little please ?" I asked Chara, putting my arm around her shoulders. "Of course N/N. How do you feel ?" She asked, I sighed as I needed to use my legs for the stairs. "Physically, feeling like every muscle will tear up if I use them." I answered honestly. As for mentally, I didn't talk about it. I was still feeling remorseful, their faces, their eyes... They were engraved in my brain. "So just rest for now ?" Chara asked, putting me on the couch a little. "Well, yes. Even if I was out for ... for how much time ?" I asked, since I didn't know how many days I was out. "You were out for 5 days, more or less." She said, as I had a clear view on her face. It changed. Her skin was paler, bags under her eyes, the red veins of her eyes was clearly visible, seemed like those 5 days weren't good for her. And all that because of me, because I couldn't get a hold of myself. Just because I had to go overkill. But then, I felt like I really wanted to kill him, bloodlust merged with hate. It was powerful, powerful enough to make me kill that guy, Zackaria. I got up, as much as it pained me, and I tightly hugged Chara. "I'm sorry, I know that it wasn't easy." I only said, she nodded as she put her head on my shoulder. "It really wasn't, but now it's over, you're here now." She said, that made me smile as she was right, I was there with her, and it was all that mattered.

"Toriel your dishes are always a banger." I said, savoring that buffet she made. "Ahah, fell free to eat all the things you want, there's plenty." Toriel said, smiling. There was : chicken, noodles, beef, rice, and breed. And the dessert wasn't there. I took all the aliments in reasonable amount in my plate as I felt like I was ready for multiple rounds. "Thanks for the meal !" I happily said as I ate. The chicken was fucking good, the beef was melting on your tongue, the rice and the noodles were cooked perfectly, the breed was so much smooth. It was a royal meal. "Looks like someone's really hungry." I heard Sans said, I smiled a little. "I didn't eat much recently." I said, it was a fact after all. "Got a point there." Sans said, smiling slightly. And I just thought of something. "How can you digest food ? You are a skeleton after all." I asked Sans. I heard laugh from Chara and Frisk, giggles from Asriel and Toriel, and I saw a smile on Asgore's face. "Magic~" He replied, and I couldn't help but to laugh. "Got a point there." I said, mimicking his words. "So, Y/N, how are you feeling ?" Asgore asked. I don't want to ruin the mood, so I decided to only say my physical state. "Physically, feels like my muscles are out of date since 1999. But other than that, I'm good, thanks." I said, he looked at me with empathy, I don't deserve it, I nearly killed your daughters Asgore. "Well, now you're awake, you just need to rest and it will go away soon I hope." Toriel said. "I hope so too, I don't really like not being able to walk normally." I said.

"So why are you telling me that ?" I asked Frisk, she just asked me if I remembered my meeting with David. I rested my head with my arm on the armrest of the couch and I let my body relax. "Because he told me, over your unconscious body." Frisk said. "Please, don't talk about that anymore, just thinking about it is unpleasant." Chara cringed, she must've remembered those days. "Heh, I knew he was gonna tell you that." I said, after all, David is Frisk's boyfriend. "Yeah, now I know your backstory, MC." Frisk said, laughing a little, Chara and I laughed a little too. "You really consider me as a Main Character ? Because I got that magic ?" I said, laughing too, even if mentally, the mere thought of my magic made me shiver, the moment I removed the power limiter, I felt like I was on the top of the world. And when I finished Zackaria's life, I couldn't help to be happy about it, like I was proud of my job. I shook my head as it wasn't a good time to think of that. "Well, let's say you've got that ever lasting wish to protect the people you love." Chara said, I smiled as she said her response. "I mean, I did say that I'll protect you, since like ... basically a month." I said, Chara nodded and hugged my arm. "For once a human don't go back to their words." Chara said, sighing. "I only make promises when I know that I can do it." I said, they nodded as they shared my point of view. "Y/N, how will you tell your mom about all that ?" Frisk asked. My face shifted as she was right, how am I gonna tell her.

"Fuck me."
