Chapter 5

" how is she" Katy asks

" she's fine I just thought there was something wrong with her lungs cause it seemed like someone has been smoking around, are any of you smokers"

We both shake our heads no

" ok she's totally fine but we'll have to put her in a room for a couple of hours and give her a iv that'll help"

He writes somethings down on a piece of paper and gives it to us to give to one of the nurses on the 6th floor as he sad

" thank you Doctor" both Katy and I say

" my pleasure" he replies

We leave as I carry Hope and go back to the waiting room

Angela stands up but Grace and Stella aren't with her

" how'd everything go"

" good but they're gonna keep her for a bit and where are Grace and Stella"

" oh great I just freaked out that you guys took long and the two are in the corner playing" she says as she points to them playing with frozen toys in a small play corner

I carefully hand Hope to John then walk to where Grace and Stella are

" come on kiddos get up"

They get up which I found weird that they didn't argue about it I mean especially Grace cause she'd usually always want to continue what she's been doing

We all go up to the 6th floor and I give the paper the doctor gave us to one of the nurses at the reception and she leads us to a room

It was a private room with a crib which just great so no one would be bothering us especially at a time like this

Minutes later the nurse comes in with a tray that has the iv bottle and injection needle with everything else

I get up closer to Hope on the crib cause I know she'll start crying

" MAMA NO" Grace screams

" what" I asked confused

She points to the tray

" that's not for you silly"

She runs to John on the couch and sits on his lap

The nurse holds the needle and my heart was beating fast I don't know why I was scared, no I'm not scared of injections or anything I always take one before I tour

Seeing my 2 month old daughter go through this is really tough.

The nurse holds Hopes hand and I hold her other hand not even half the size of my hand and I thought it would take long but she cried just as the nurse was putting the needle but calmed down

" She done yet" I look at Grace who's asking John

He just laughs

" wow Grace you're sister is much more quieter than you are"

" no!" She screams

" don't talk to your mother like that" John turns around and she hides behind him

I look over at Angela with Stella sleeping on her lap

" sis you could take her home" I tell her

" yeah I think I will and I'll buy some groceries and maybe drop them by your place, oh and should I take Grace" she asks

" thanks and yeah " I say as I rub my head and look at Hope

I just feel so stressed and need a break though I don't want to be away from my family
