3RD PERSON POV

Once everyone in the room had been cleared, by Aurelius before running after Daemon due to a simple look from his wife, Jonquil waltzed up to the new Queen who had been nothing but her friend for so long. As she walked she spoke.

"Forgive me, but I thought that you were the Queen and Daemon was nothing but your consort. How wrong I seem to have be."

Rhaenyra was rightfully angry though her confusion leaked through and instead of screaming it had her questioning instead. "What do you mean, Lady Celtigar?" Her eyes were cautious, the woman was nothing but loyal. Was this a test, a lesson? Jonquil had alway liked giving her those.

"Daemon does things without your permission, he acts without you r leave, and the worse of it is that he does it infront of your men. Men who have never been ruled by a woman before, men who have oh so sweetly bent the knee and pledged their loyalties, as they look at you as something to sink their teeth into to get their own way and instead turn their gaze to you husband for guidance." Her voice was condisending as she reached Rhsenyra, grasping at her hand, the one that held that black slip of paper. "They are all sheep. Are you a sheep? No, your a dragon. Your their Queen. A Dragon Queen. Be a Dragon Queen. Make them show you some respect." She spat out through gritted teeth, a light dancing in her eyes that had Rhaenyra surging with a powerful fire and making her shoot into action.

On that bridge, in the dwindling light of day it was like deja vu. Otto Hightower stood facing Daemon Targaryen, possed against one another with their soldiers at the ready. He cried terms of, terms sent from the Dowager Queen Alicent in the name of the new King Aegon II. When he asked to see who he called Princess but they called the Queen she flew over head on her golden dragon, Syrax. Only unlike the last time she had doen this, when she landed behind Ser Otto and his men, she was not alone.

Aurleius was shocked to see his wife positioned behind her with her arms wrapped tightly around their Queens waist.

Rhaenyra had achieved part of her wish, she'd flown with Jonquil on Dragonback and the woman had demanded cake after, as Rhaenyra helped her from the saddle.

They walked through Otto and his men slowly, proudly, and Aurelius could not help but smile proudly as Jonquil took her place as his equal by his side.

Jonquil glared and shifted angrily, raising her chin high as Ser Otto still addressed Rhaenyra as Princess.

"I'm Queen Rhaenyra now." Jonquil smirked with pride and Aurelius looked at her, knowing she'd said something to bring about this new confidence to the once awkward Queen. "And you all are traitors to the Realm."

"King Aegon Targaryen, second of his name, in his wisdom and desire for peace, is offering terms." They waited for Otto to continue, silently agreeing to hear these terms. Jonquil hoped for some mention of her daughter's. Aurelius for Faune and the young boys. "Acknowledged Aegon as King and swear obedience before the Iron Throne. In exchange his Grace will confirm your possession of Dragonstone, it'll pass through your true-born son, Jacaerys upon your death."

Aurelius didn't hold back his scoff, Jonquil smiling dangerously beside him, her lip almost curled up into a snarl. "Lucerys will be confirmed as the legitimate heir to Driftmark and all the lands and holdings of house Velaryon. Your sons by Prince Daemon, will also be given places of high honor at court." They highly doubted that. "Aegon the Younger as the King's squire, Viserys as his cupbearer." Daemon watched the side of his wife's face intensely, trying to read her thoughts. But he found nothing. He didn't like that. "Finally, the King in his good grace, will pardon any knight or Lord who conspired against his ascent."
