Back To The Past and Back To The Future (A Ben Reade fanfic)

This can't be happening!

Alexa's pov

My life fell apart today and I've been a wreck. Today I got up and he was sitting up freaking out, I said "Ben, Ben what's wrong?" I couldn't hold back my tears anymore and I just started crying.

I said "Please, don't stay this way! I want you to go back to way you were, I want you to be happy again"

For some of the day I was upset and I didn't really eat a thing because I was too sad. Michelle came over today and she tried to make me feel better and I said "Thanks Michelle but I don't think I'll ever be happy ever again, he's so depressed and could kill himself, I just don't want to lose him"

Later that day I went into the room and he had some type of injection in his hand and I said "Baby please put it down, don't do this!"

I was crying again and he takes the thing and stabs himself with it.

I fell to my knees and cried. I grabbed my phone and called 911 and they came and took him to the hospital. When we got there they took him on the bed thing and dragged him to a hospital room.

While in the hospital room I tried to get them to let me stay but they said I to wait out in the waiting room and I said "No, I can't please what if he dies? You have to let me in there with him, he's my husband and he needs me!"

They finally let me go in there and while in there Mel checked on him.

Then some detective came in and said he needed to ask Ben some questions and I said "No! He's literally dying and you really want to ask a man some questions on his deathbed, what is wrong with you"

He said "We suspect he killed some people and we need to get his confession, it's now or never!"

I said "Ben would never hurt anyone unless it was to protect me"

He told Ben "Ok let's start from the beginning with a girl you used to know, a high school girl named Bridget Waters, you met Bridget when you were a grad student, isn't that right"

Ben just nodded his head and then The detective said "You liked her didn't you Ben"

Ben said "She seemed nice"

He said "She seemed nice does that mean she wasn't, was it your idea to take her out the night she was killed"

Ben said "No"

He said "It was hers"

Ben said "Uh huh"

He said "What else was her idea Ben?"

Ben said "Sex , she wanted it but I wasn't ready, I couldn't. She laughed at me so I"

He said "So you what Ben, what did you do?"

Ben said "I put my hands around her throat to make her stop laughing"

He said "You put your hands around her neck and then you, you didn't let go until Bridget was quiet, right until she was dead and then you left her body in that cave"

Ben said "I was scared"

He said "Ok Ben, that's Bridget now let's talk about someone else, let's talk about Jed Simmons, you took a class in forensic anthropology that he was teaching at the University and then one day Simmons mentioned that some remains have been found in a cave and you so killed him right you killed Jed you strangled him and then you threw his body in the lake to make it look like a drowning"

Ben said "I had to, nobody could know"

I was getting angry because he kept asking Ben questions and he wasn't doing so well.

 I didn't want him to go faster so I said "OK You can stop because I don't want him to go faster then he already was so Get out before I make you!"

He said "You don't care that he killed people"

I said "No! I mean the first one I get because if someone was laughing at me then I would want them taken out. He's dying and I see that he can't take it anymore so I need you to stop!"

He stopped asking them and then everyone came in to say their goodbyes and I couldn't take it anymore, the love of my life was leaving me for good.

I was by his side as he passed, he was saying how he's gonna go to hell and I just held his hand and said "Baby, don't say that!"

At this moment he close his eyes one last time and I was crying so much and I still can't believe he's gone.
